Someone I am FB friends with said he was beta testing RX 10.
Anyone know what's happening with iZotope?

It's looking to me that as of now, the whole Standard-Advanced division is going away. It already started with Neutron 4, and I predict we will see the same thing with Ozone 10 and RX 10. There will only be two tiers. Essentials and regular.
But what I'd really like to see is Dialog Match available in something other than AAX. I own it as part of the Everything Bundle, but have no way to use it, and I really want to. It should be integrated into RX. But for that RX 10 will need multitrack support. I'd love to be able to ditch Adobe Audition.

Interesting. Unless they drop a Universal Advanced version.
It’s a tough putt for me. If it was Ozone and RX I’d be in for sure. RX is a must-have staple and Ozone still gets a fair amount of work, but not as much as the v5 days when it was miles apart. Too many good tools these days. Not sure I want to pay for two upgrades if they’re not bundled. I’ve upgraded every version of all of their tools since v5.

RX Standard is essential for me for general cleanup, SRC and pre-master prep - and I still think the Standard/Advanced path works for RX. It was a bit silly with Ozone and Neutron though - the main feature you got was the ability to use the modules separately, which has been handy on occasion but not like 'twice the price' handy.
As always, Izotope can definitely do more to reward longterm customers. The Music Production bundle/suite crossgrades and overlapping pathways can be complex and confusing. I still can't remember if I have the Tonal Balance bundle or got it with Ozone 9 Advanced... it all just became a blur.
I would welcome them decreasing the sheer number and versions of products and simplifying the bundle cross/upgrade pathways - but not if it means my wallet is lighter in the process.

Apparently their $199 Everything iZotope upgrade was wide open to almost everyone with an iZotope product for a day or two this week. They've since closed the loophole, I'm told. But some people got the most incredible deal...

Except that there's about an $800 difference between the standard and advanced version of RX. So, either the standard version will go up in price by about $800 or the advanced version will go that much lower. Also, both versions are made for different markets, while Neutron and Ozone are for the same market, no matter which version.

Those two are like their most used plugins, of course new ones will be coming. It's just a matter of when.

They're back off my "bad" list if they did indeed update R4 and the other Exponential products for newer Mac OSes. I thought it was pretty crappy to be selling products that an increasingly-large segment of people (those buying new macs) couldn't use, with no warning that I saw. I used R4 a lot and will be glad to have it back (haven't gone and updated it just yet). Phoenixverb never stopped working but I looked for alternatives since I figured it was only a matter of time--I'm glad to be wrong!
