What bugs? It's based on the K-Station, which was itself discontinued 15 years ago and never had a single bug-fix that I was aware of. V-Station has also just worked for the 12 or so years I've been using it. THe instaler includesVS3 so it should keep working for a while.

Did anyone notice that the download file is only 3.45MB. That's some mega-efficient coding.

What bugs?
Off the top of my head, the LED's which indicate the played voices don't work, the LFO doesn't sync properly, and the LED's which indicate the LFO phase won't work.

There surely is more, but, those are the things I always noticed.

The preset browser on V-station is a bug. There is no way that was the intended functionality.

Still use VStation. Especially for short, arpy, plucky sounds. The filters and effects are not what would be considered "high quality"by current standards but I really like the sound of them. Using the FM option you can get some great, crazy sounds. For me, it is a unique vsti that I really enjoy using. Very inspirational and, for some reason, almost always easy to fit into a mix. Read the manual and don't miss out on the filter velocity control.

The most annoying bug I’m aware of is that the arp doesn’t sync to host bpm
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

It does sync to host BPM, over here. Gotta set Clock Source on Global page to "Ext". LFOs sync to host then, too.

To host BPM yes, but the ARP melody always starts delayed in song mode (FL Studio).
This makes the plugin unuseable - at least if you're using ARP melodies.

Is this really freeware now? I just ask because their "new" file v2.6 has the same size like the old one years ago.

How does the install process work?

Do i need to register the plugin like the old way or just "active" it offline?!

I've used it for simple basses and pads for years now. It's super fast to program and sounds just fine for many things. I had a little fun with the bass station plugin now that they've opened things up. I've been trying to see how close I can get it to some very old tracks I have where I used my real bass station. Now that these are free, there's no reason not to get some use out of them. They are as good as many freeware synths and they use an absurdly small amount of CPU.

Is there a way to increase the GUI size?

And is the only way to cycle through presets through those up and down arrows? There is no way to just click somewhere to pop up a list to click on the one you want?

That shows off the V-Station in a great way!

In your dreams, unfortunately.

Correct. Well at least with VST2 the patches are also exposed to host...

Yes, but you have to mess with Windows DPI scale settings.

Testing with 200% scaling works just fine on an 4k monitor.

Everything else gets scaled too, so keep that in mind.

I didn't test on Mac.

Yes there is you can just use the VST3 version of the presets and use your DAWS preset browser instead. (I just uploaded these to the KVR V Station downloads section if you dont have access to them from somewhere else)

Most DAWS have an easy process to add VST3 presets. In BITWIG, for instance, its as simple as just adding the location of the VST3 presets in locations then you can search, browse in the sidebar or pop up browser.
