Same - it's only good if you add several sale items to cart, then bring it down to $50-60-ish with the voucher. Which means it's only good if you're looking to get several plugins. If you have your eye on just one, better to go that weird $29+$1 monthly subscription route.

Sampletank is one product of there's that they should make an exception - the other product installations (to external drive where needed) have been reasonably easy. Sampletank has these weird installers, 3 goes with 4, and the process of running an uninstaller doesn't always (depending on if its 3 or 4 perhaps) give a good indication of what folder to select for proper results (a proper folder structure outcome). I ended up with a bad folder structure. So I paid for the $10 2nd download, but the first time was so disturbing that I've been putting off running those installers again.logendrai wrote: Thu Jun 02, 2022 5:08 pmKeep a back up of the installation files.. Otherwise after a 180 days you will need to pay you download them again if you need themmoonchunk wrote: Wed Jun 01, 2022 5:43 am I happened to get an email from IK Multimedia today (the first one I got), and I assumed the group buy was just beginning. When I got home I re-read the email and noticed the sale was ending. I just scooped up the 33 synths with less than an hour to go. I appreciate you letting people know about this - someone will be grateful!

That's a shame, I'm glad I took advantage before it went up.grimmold wrote: Fri Jul 15, 2022 6:55 am Thank you, sir!Wait... they upped the minimum purchase amount to $75 for the $25 voucher? Oh crap. I've been out of the loop for a while. Oh well, thanks anyways!

I would like to bring back the debate about having presets and samples or not in the bargain thread.
Personally I believe 0,1 pct. of viewers (prove me wrong) are interested in these preset "bargains" that seems to always be on sale. When something is always on sale it's not a true sale but more like a normal resale price. Furthermore it's often the same few number of preset packs from a seller that get's posted again and again.
If everybody selling presets/samples posted their "bargains" here it would be impossible to find any true bargain. I find myself constantly scrolling through annoying preset offers again and again.
As someone once suggested I think preset sales should have a sticky thread for themselves. What do you think?

For now it's the best method.

I raised this and fought with it back in September 2020. Someone started a poll thread, which showed at least 2-to-1 (I recall it was actually closer to 3.5-to-1) in favor of splitting the threads with a pretty good number of votes. I created a new "Bargain Center" thread for preset packs, and a few honorable resellers even posted in it. And an admin here agreed to update the lead message of the Bargain Thread after discussing with Ben and other admins. Then the poll thread got removed, my posting announcing the existence of the new thread was deleted, and some small number of users shouted down any further discussion of the issue. So it died on the vine and everything went back to the way it was, and still is.Hans25 wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 9:12 pm I would like to bring back the debate about having presets and samples or not in the bargain thread.

So I wish you good luck and godspeed, but don't have too much hope. It's a shame because the only alternative is marking the worst offenders as "foes". That's not a very good solution because the forum still sends you an email notification when a foe posts. Also because there are some users who post about preset packs and also about useful stuff, but you can only "foe" them across the entire site, not just in a single thread.

I wish it were possible to set up our profiles in such a way that “foes” didn’t bump threads in our thread views, so they only bump when non-foes post. I know we can block threads or categories from our profiles. This might be more challenging, though.
