We could end the whole discussion forever by just driving the samplemongers from the temple of this thread, which is what the large majority of us want.

Then we would be free to focus on some other irritant entirely.

This is actually a pretty good deal! It's Guitar Center, so I see no reason to believe it's sketchy...

For the D-16 Bundle, Guitar Center wants $4.99 for delivery so I did not purchase.

a complaint only thread is a great idea and that would be the only place anyone was allowed to post any complaint.

That's a very scary gif. I'm almost enjoying watching the screen and then I actually look directly at it.

But seriously, progastination.

And on-topic, I see that SSL is now offering its plugins for £14.99, which is less than PA and Waves. Is that an error by them? Would I use them at all?

Odd that there is a delivery charge for a digital item but I imagine it's one of those cards that contains the serial numbers.

Even with the $4.99 delivery and tax it came out to $8.13 here so a great deal for two D-16 plugins.

Now I just have to wait until (or if) the delivery arrives.

Well it's not a digital item. It's probably old stock that is in a piece of plastic. I have a GC in my area. It would cost that much in gas. There's not enough clarity for me to spend 2.99 + tax.

What kind of clarity do you need for $2.99 +tax?

Of course software is a digital item whether the serial number comes from a download or in the snail mail.

I've bought similar items online from GC. They come is a clam shell or something similar with a card that contains the serial number or reg code whatever.

The question is do these versions qualify for upgrade to the latest version or do the serial numbers automatically qualify you for the latest version?

For $8.13 all in I can roll the dice.......

When I posted the D16 deal, I figured they had maybe one in stock. Apparently, that 's not the case.

I have no need for the D16 plugs, but the curiosity got to me. GC refused to accept either my home address or my UPS box, so I set up to ship to the nearest store.

It's not going to cost me any gas, because I'll just drive an extra block or two when I go into town for groceries next week.

Total is $3.22.

Looks like these are version 1 of the plugins. I actually prefer the version 1 GUIs without the wooden sides but I don't think they are resizable.

I doubt the serials will qualify us for version 2 of the plugins but we may get an upgrade path.

Either way for $8.13 or especially $3.22 it's a great deal even for version 1 of the two plugins.

I checked this D16 deal at GC, but for customers in USA only unfortunately (no international shipping).
