What's the difference between the Lite, Professional and Ultimate packs ?
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

The amount of headphone profiles...

So how can you tell which version you need between Professional and ultimate ?

I use AKG 141 Mk2's and DT990 250ohms ? Professional should suffice then maybe ?

Yes, that will allow you to select three headphone profiles. You can also purchase more profiles in the future for a reasonable sum.

It emulates studio sound but can it also correct the headphones? (I have M50X and DT1990)

Yes, it can compensate and correct , not sure if your headphones are in the supported list.

EDIT: pretty confident they are, they are "common".

perhaps the Set B Nearfielders sound much boomier since 1.8.1 update?
I have to reduce Lo by -3,5 dB to make it sound good on my Heddphones.
Like Set B and C are interchanged by mistake? :scared:
Before the update I left the Tone controls untouched.
Now I notice some random hiccups when in use as audioplayer, too.

The sound has changed because we've made completely new recalculations of the same recorded impulses from a scratch. We apologize for the discomfort with the transition, but the new sound is more authentic and the new processing retains more aspects of the original sound

The Professional version gets you 3 headphone profiles. The Ultimate version gets you all the profiles.

For you, having 2 headphones, Professional would suffice. Ultimate is mostly for studios, or fanatics with more than 3 different headphones

Yep. Sounds awesome with DT1990.

How does it compare to Morphit ?

Not comparable. morphit does only the frequency correction whereas Realphones does frequency correction, crossfeed and several room/speaker simulations.

Unfortunately the update is a downgrade for me soundwise. Bass is WAY over the top for me. I can hear what you mean by "clearer sound" but after reinstalling 1.7 I´m back into "yeah that´s cool". Does this mean, any new update is not for me because of this new recalculation?

Well if now it's more accurate then maybe it should warrant better mixing decisions or
you could anyway customize it to better suit your taste... No?

Yes of course I can reduce Lows by 3-5 to 6dB but feels totally off for me doing so. Perhaps one day I may do this. The new sound of 1.8.1 turn all my reference tracks into mud and make my heddphones feel like cheap consumer sennheisers. Version 1.7 nailed studiosound for me.

I use morphit after realphones running in soundsource because realphones doesn’t have a profile for my Akg q701 or status audio cb-1, only my 7506, which I’ve essentially retired after 18 years.
