I've only covered Pages 16 and 17 of the Manual.
Works but you have to make sure to get the right place. That's not a problem.1 Dragging from the Browser:
I noted that you use Cmd+V. This being the OS generic Paste Option, I assumed that when you drag into the composition, it saves it to the Clipboard?
Cmd+V works sometimes but not consistently! Errors:
1 Pasting a copy but not conforming to Chord Progression.
2 Pasting copy of old clipboard ie. I Dragged Chord Generator to first chord position. Used Cmd+V and it pasted Dyads Run Generator. This is the generator I had previously tried.
3 I tied replacing phrase by dragging a different generator type over it. This worked ok. But, the Cmd+V didn't replace next phrase; it either didn't do anything, or pasted new notes over the top.
I found that the best option was always to start with a New Composition every time I want a different Generated Phrase.
This doesn't work. It goes straight to Phrase Editor and when you go back to Composition, it's empty!2 Double clicking in the track
However, using Cmd+V does add selected Generator Phrase. You just have to make sure the playhead is in the correct position.
To get to the Phrase Inspector I had to Right Click on the Track. When I did this, the playhead jumps to that position. Then when I select, Insert... it adds from the Playhead position!3 From the Phrase Inspector
I have been trying all sorts of things to get this to work in the most productive way.
I did try the ShortCut Keys. This did seem to work well.
I selected the Track Title Bar and press the SCK and it filled the whole Chord Progression with apprpiate chords or notes and when possible, they would regenerate new phrases with each press of the SCK.
If the options that are used for the SCK, could be used for the Double Click Option, then each time you Double Clicked a Generator Name the whole Composition would be filled. These would give a new phrase, where appropriate, with each Double Click and the Generator type could be changed by simple Double Clicking it?
I'm giving the, Working with Phrases a break as my head is spinnig!
I will be back... I'm like a dog with a bone!
I'm off to try the, Working with Chords next...
BTW I did find those two buttons you mention, bottom left: Bit small?
