So I've downloaded a variety of free instrument and effect plugins in AU, VST, and VST3 formats, and many of them fail to load in WF11 with the standard error message of "appears to be a plugin, but failed to load properly." I've validate a couple of them and they pass all tests successfully, but still fail to load. Is there any further step I can take?
M1 Max MacBook Pro, Waveform 11 Free.
Examples of plugins that validate, but don't load:
OrilRiver
VCSL K Piano 1
RDG Audio Free Piano 2
M1 MBP Waveform 11 validates VST plugin, but still fails to load

Update:
In the interest of further testing, I downloaded Ardour and scanned through my plugins. Turns out one of the issues was MacOS being a pain about "...cannot open because the developer cannot be verified...." After sorting that out, most of the plugins that were giving me issues in Waveform actually worked fine in Ardour. There were a couple that still had issues, which I chalked up to other incompatibilities with MacOS 12.5 Monterey, Apple Silicon, or some combination of those.
However, even after verifying that the plugins work in Ardour, they *still* do not load in Waveform, which is unfortunate, because I prefer the layout of Waveform over Ardour. All in all, for the extremely basic stuff I do in Waveform, I have enough instruments and effects I need to do what I want to for now. Still, come on Tracktion; fix your stuff.

Not sure it's the one you mention (can't see another on their website), but I've got Versilian Upright piano on mine (Windows 10 though) and it loads and works fine.
There is a note on their website that says "NOTE: Due to changes in MacOS, our Audio Units are currently incompatible with Catalina by default. Please use SFZ format instead." but it sounds like you've tried the other versions, so it's probably not relevant.
