My favourite sound designer - love this guy's work and his videos. 50% off at the moment and only has sales once a year https://hissandaroar.com/v3/

Personally I don't like ti as most of the ST products, they all have a specific sound to them, almost paper thin/plastic. They have a few better ones but in general unless you area ST customer and know the sound of them, give it a proper try first.Vleker wrote: Thu Aug 11, 2022 7:31 pm Is Softube Tape Echos worth it if I already have Echoboy and the EC300?

If you already have Dirty Tape, combine it with Echoboy. Then you have a sound pretty much the same as Tape Echoes, but with more features. Adjustable tape heads (delay times, volume and panning) is what I miss mostly in Tape Echoes.Vleker wrote: Thu Aug 11, 2022 7:31 pm Is Softube Tape Echos worth it if I already have Echoboy and the EC300?

I can't say I was impressed at all with the synth I demoed that they put out a few years ago. It was Parrallels, had to look it up.fairlyclose wrote: Fri Aug 12, 2022 6:16 amha ha that's what I thought too - the last comment I would make about softube plugins is plasticky and thinJunolab wrote: Fri Aug 12, 2022 5:35 amWhat are you smoking? one synth is scarcely a representative sample tho is it? I have not used Parallels but I have used many other of their plugins and they are very good qualityATS wrote: Fri Aug 12, 2022 7:50 amI can't say I was impressed at all with the synth I demoed that they put out a few years ago. Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to skip om this one. I don't need another delay. Putting dirty tape over echoboy is a good tip! Regarding the above statements. I love the Model synths. Some of the best I've used!

I demoed RipX Deep Remix just briefly -- and it worked quite well and much better than the other things I've tried for this. Pretty amazing, really.Ceej wrote: Sun Aug 07, 2022 9:45 am
According to several reviews and YouTube roundups, "DeepRemix" from RipX is the best thing on the market for this at the moment, and it's on sale for $75 (25% off) right now. I just picked it up, and it did a pretty impressive job pulling a vocal out of a swing-style track I tried. It splits tracks up into as many as 5 or 6 layers (vocal, guitar, drums, bass, etc), and you get an interface a bit like Melodyne or Autotune where you can see the notes from each layer and move them to different layers if the AI got something wrong. I only had to clean up a few places where it thought a trumpet note was the singer. The resulting stems were a pretty mixed bag as you might expect, but the vocal was actually quite good, especially in sparser sections of the song; it even correctly kept harmony vocals and reverb. You can also muck with stems in a Melodyne-ish way, changing notes or timing and stuff, and it can save the notes from each track as MIDI too, which can be fun.
You can get 10 KVR Marketplace Points for signing up for the mailing list, and you can use 7 of those points to bring the price down to $68.

Many thanks to Ceej for the info and to VitaminD for the tip about Thomann price!

LOL PA didn't even wait one day (to be fair there are some exclusions):
"We want to give back to you all for supporting us last year ... In a few moments PA will launch a second and final BX FLOOD SALE, call it a V2 if you will. Over the next few days you will get a total of 3 voucher codes. Each code will knock down any plugin in the sale to just $29.99/each - and each code will be valid for 48 hours, so you have some time to pick and choose. This will be our thank you to YOU, our users, supporters and fans.
Now, to say thank you to all the PA/BX partners that helped BX last year, this year BX will waive our royalties as needed, so PA will not only pay all of the PA partners for this sale as they always get paid, but PA will be able to pay out an extra 10% to all participating PA/BX partners for whatever you buy from them during this 2022 Flood Sale V2!
This way BX wants to return the support to the community and to all the participating PA/BX partners, while the sale will also enable us to finalize the most extensive (and expensive) renovation and studio build in the history of our company."
So "this is basically for charity! we're giving you a gift!" but ultimately "we need more cash ASAP"....

has anyone received a mail from Plugin Boutique with a mail only deal for AD quanta? I thought I did, but it somehow strangely vanished...
