Hi, is it somehow possible to determine the parameter properties of a remote control?

I want to adopt the value display for the different control types. E.g. for buttons (-> SettableBooleanValue), comboboxes (-> SettableEnumValue), knobs (-> SettableRangedValue).

Not that I am aware of but this would be really nice.

Ok, I'll request it with a link to this thread. So if you have more ideas, let's collect them here...

Unipular vs. bipolar parameters:

I suggest a parameter.getIndent() method
should return a value between 0 and 1.0 (e.g. for pan it would be 0.5)

either way we need more methods to distinguish parameter types.
