What happened to scrubbing?

I very rarely use samples so didn't appreciate how much stuff has changed. I used to love being able to just drag the cursor with the mouse over a sample or audio clip to scrub through it and it would play back at whatever speed I dragged till I could home in on the bit I wanted

Also I have no idea why there are 2 cursors now - it's confusing

General - Editing - Enable or disable Edit cursor. Yeah, convenient & confusing at the same time !

Thanks - the cursor now moves away as soon as I let go - is there still a way to scrub and when I let go for it not to start playing which is annoying?
