Waveform 12.1.1 beta released with new authorization system.

Waveform 12.1.1 beta released with new authorization system. It should connect to your Waveform account and download all your licenses. Going forward if you run Waveform you won't need to unlock any other products manually. Can you download and give it a try and report any problems here.

If you are having issues, can you go to settings > advanced and make sure "feature set" is "best available".
If you are on mac can you look in ~/Library/Application Support/Tracktion/Keyfiles of on windows %appdata%\Tracktion\Keyfiles and see if the keyfile for TracktionWaveform12Pro.tracktionkey and verify that it is there.

hi figbug,
i got an error using 12.1.1 as i described in the "crickets" thread. i am fully licensed. when i follow the directions as indicated at the top of the waveform 12.1.1 window, it "contacts the marketplace" then puts up a dialog box that says "all licenses are up to date". I say "OK" to dismiss the dialog, but nothing changes. The same message at the top of the waveform window. still in demo mode.
it doesn't work.
reverting to 12.0.53 recognizes my valid PRO license.

I've logged in and updated everything but it still has the message about the free trial expiring. Clicking that gets it to phone home, and it says all is good, but doesn't change the trial message. Changing to one of the edits meant it wanted to check again, so I let it, but it remains unconvinced. It seems quite sure I'm still in demo mode, even though I'm not.

Can you confirm for me if it downloaded the key files? Also, can you please go to the new "Licenses" settings page and let us know whether the "Waveform Pro" item says "Unlocked" or "Locked"? Maybe post a screenshot if that's easier, sometimes we can spot things that way.
@jabe what's the message you're seeing the blue banner at the top that says "Waveform is in Demo mode, click here to start a 30 free trial or unlock with a license"? Or is it another message about a time-limited trial period expiring?
And as @FigBug says, can you check the locations he posted in the first thread to see if the key files have been downloaded?
We need to narrow down if this is a problem on the software side or a web error returning valid key files.

Also, it would be really helpful if anyone has installed 12.1.1 and has not had a problem if they could report that here too.
We're trying to gauge if this is a web/app issue, specific to an OS etc. so knowing what is working is really helpful.

Apologies - I stopped reading when I saw it said Mac. I checked the folder in Windows (there is /Roaming/ between /%appdata%/ and /Tracktion/ in the path name). Apologies for the delay.
I did mention on the other thread that the path FigBug gave for Windows had the Roaming folder omitted.
The Waveform Pro licence says Expired. I've tried Unlocking a couple of times, but it's still the same. Yes, it allowed me to do that. It sounds like you are getting back an expired trial key file from the server rather than your valid Pro license.
Would it be possible to open the TracktionWaveform12Pro.tracktionkey file in the "Keyfiles" folder in a text editor? Does it have an "Expiry" date/time listed in it?

From the date on the file I think it's my previous W12 one, but you're the experts. The Expires date looks a bit odd.

I should have made it clear that key files from earlier versions should still unlock Waveform if they're in the correct "Keyfiles" folder so it shouldn't matter when it was created.I've checked again after the above and it's still the one from the .053 March version. I think what might be happening is that because you have an expired trial key file in there, it's not downloading an updated full key file. If you delete or move that TracktionWaveform12Pro.tracktionkey file to another location (outside of the Tracktion/Keyfiles folder), then open Waveform and press the "Refresh Licenses" button, does that download a new one that works correctly (i.e. doesn't have an expiry time in it and shows up as "Unlocked")?

I renamed the old file, restarted W12, and tried a couple of ways to unlock. I clicked the message and it said all licences are up to date. The Licensing still shows as Expired, I have the same message at the top, and there was no addition to the Keyfiles folder.
