I refused this for a long time :-) Now, you can donate under each of my Youtube videos with the Youtube "Thanks" button.
I'll try to remember pressing this button every so often.
You've singlehandedly motivated me learn JS and Java this summer. Without the scripting, I wouldn't be able to justify BW over Ableton at the moment. Without you I wouldn't have been able to get anywhere in the forest that is the Bitwig API to a newbie dev.
At the moment I can only leave a tip, but know that you're very very appreciated!

Everyone, "smash" that thanks button and such and so.

AKAI Fire here.

I am curious, once when notes are in the step sequencer (Drum mode) - is it possible to move notes slightly off the grid to the left or right? To get a different "groove" feel.

My English is super terrible so I am adding MC 707 video - because this guy does it nicely on the MC 707

If the video does not start at the correct timing, just browse to 03:00 (3 minutes in) and see 30 seconds of this video. You can see how he is adjusting/shifting notes of the quantized grid by a tiny amount.

They go + or - in values. Value is called START.

Is something like this possible with AKAI Fire and note editing? I am reading the manual and can't find it but because English is not my first language and this might be referred to in the manual as something else - I am asking here.

To the same extent, I have questions about the same thing in the Note mode.

Say I added a note in C2 and C#2. But now I want to move the C#2 note slightly off the grid - to get the "strum" effect so to speak. Is this possible with the Fire controller?

Just a little bug ?
Novation SL mkIII, transport << and >> doesnt work.
[Edit] or with markers: "jump and play" but only same and next marker

I thought the Akai fire script was developed by Richie hawtin and Bitwig. Is there a Moss script too? I couldn’t check because the website is down. In the Hawting script I don’t think there is a nudge and I was under the impression that nudge is not available through the API.

Bitwig (4.3.4) with Behringer X-Touch One - The channel selection buttons changes track selection as indicated by the controller state, but it does not change the UI state in Bitwig (the previous track still shows as selected). This behavior is fixed if I change the "has only 1 fader" to off but obviously that's the wrong setting for the X-Touch One.

Hello,

I'm using a push with the bitwig script.
Is it possible to adjust the start of a note in sequencer mode?
I see the option to adjust the length in the top right but no start option.

Anybody know if that's possible?

With kind regards,

Justus

It is currently not possible with the Bitwig API.

Sadly, no. It is the same as the nudge limitation.

The Akai Fire is supported for quite some time with DrivenByMoss. The script from Richie is a very specific sequencer tuned to his needs. The latest DrivenByMoss version contains now a similar sequencer but adapted to fit into the rest of the existing Fire workflow.

I cannot see an issue with this. Are you sure you have the latest Firmware installed?

Thank you for reply !

Yes, all is up to date:
- SL MkIII : V1.4-384
- Bitwig 16 Track 4.3.4
- DrivenByMoss : 17.1.0

If there are no marker in the timeline, this buttons have no effect (and no illumination). And with markers, the behaviour is not usable.

Please dont spend time just for me, I have reported this behavior only if others encounter the same problem

My new favorite controller is the Squarp Hapax. My longtime favorite DAW is Bitwig (obviously...). Any chance of a Hapax controller interface?

Best,
Stu

Now I am confused. The transport left/right buttons are not intended to select markers. Could it be that you mapped them in Bitwig?

Up to my knowledge that is a hardware sequencer. I do not think that it can be somehow reprogrammed as a controller. Or am I missing something?
