Hello, somebody can help me to connect a volca korg to the program mulab and I'm using an audio interface. I try to connect it with a Y cable from the volca to the audio interface and then to the computer. I read that you need to change something in your preference that I don't see what.

What precisely do you want to record: Audio or MIDI?thomasdhaene wrote: Sun Aug 28, 2022 8:42 am Hello, somebody can help me to connect a volca korg to the program mulab and I'm using an audio interface. Please be more specific: Where did you read what?I read that you need to change something in your preference that I don't see what.

what audio interface?
exactly how is the Y-cable hooked up?
you need to provide specific and detailed information, we are not psychic.

Some volcas have midi inputs, all have audio outputs. So it varies.
Are you just trying to record audio, or are you also trying to sequence the Volca from Mulab?
So you have 4 audio inputs and 1 MIDI input on your audio interface, right?Tascam 208i
And 2 audio outputs and maybe 1 MIDI output on your volca?
device audio outputs plug in to soundcard audio inputs
device midi inputs plug in to soundcard midi outputs
So how are you using it to connect to the Tascam? Stereo output of the volca to two of the inputs? The Y is a stereo to two mono

Hellow ,
I am trying to record a sequence ,so I want to record a sequence on mulab from the volca let's say the volc keys.
Oh my volca's have a midi in
Audio outputs = where you can connect your headphone?
The y is a stereo to two mono yes
I connect the volca to the in stereo to two mono to the tascam. That's what I read somewhere on internet.

That Y cable is for recording audio - the sound produced by the Volca.
If you want to record MIDI data (the notes you are playing rather than what they sound like) you need to connect a MIDI output from the Volca to the MIDI input on the interface, which requires a different type of cable.
If your Volca has the 1.8mm MIDI output, you would probably both of these, as examples; if it has an actual DIN5 MIDI output you would only need the second one:

Note that a MIDI input on the Volca will not help with this - some of them only have an input, in which case you will not be able to make this work in the way you seem to want.
At least one model of Volca has USB MIDI; if you have that one you should be able to get it working with a USB cable directly to your computer instead of using the separate MIDI cable.
