That looks like a change log between *beta* versions.

What it’s not, is a list of features for final release.

That is among the things I dislike about early leaks…
1) it could be fake
2) the grumble party starts early complaining about what’s not there in a product that’s not here.

If K7 is around the corner, I would bet on a much longer list.
The marketing campaign will be sure to remind us of all the new things added.
Not sure about that. Some of the fixes look like they could be between betas, but some of what was added seems like v7 additions, not between betas.
Eg. new effects, factory library 2, full screen browser etc.

HiDPI Browser, Factory Library 2 (first HiDPI content), new effects.
ADDED Fullscreen HiDPI Browser featuring global text search; filter by tag, brand and properties (editable for user-created content), favourite presets for quick access, and import non-player libraries
ADDED Two new effects - Psyche Delay and Ring Modulator
If it is real… My point is that it’s not a full list of features so no need for anyone getting bent out of shape complaining they don’t see their favorite feature not listed there.

That’s really all.
Context matters

Again, that’s all dependent if this is even real to begin with.

Post

I hope the new Factory Library 2 includes not only better graphics but also some new instruments and some better control. Like poly/mono on the front page, basic articulations for stuff like the horns & guitars in the Band sections, things of that nature. Maybe a little more cohesiveness between other sub categories as well. The Factory library is criminally slept on.
I read more than post = I listen more than I talk

I'd be surprised if there were more features added, not surprised if there were more fixes as the beta continues.

Nothing in the list is surprising, it's pretty solid. I think it's slightly stronger than the Kontakt 6 release.

I'm 99.9% sure its real btw.

It looks like another "7" is coming

in kontakt 7 NI should recreate Halion's midi page and such things. why is it a pain to visualize the key ranges of multiple instruments?

Post

does anyone know what ‘import non player libraries’ might mean?

Post

'Non player libraries' are libs that are not licensed by NI and can thus only be played for 15 minutes in the free Kontakt Player – you need the full Kontakt.

I assume that ‘import non player libraries’ means that you can now import them in the (licensed) Libraries browser in the full version of Kontakt. A very welcome option, if you have a lot of non-licensed libraries!
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Post

that would be absolutely amazing BUT wouldn’t it mean that all the companies who pay NI to be an official library might feel a bit p’d off?

Post

I would assume (if my guess is correct) that this feature wouldn't be available in Kontakt Player. Or, at least, that unlicensed libraries would still only play for 15 minutes.

Again, I'm just guessing… ;-) We'll have to wait to hear from the Dragon's mouth. EvilDragon, that is.

Yes, I presume it relates to their new full-screen browser (and to full Kontakt, not Kontakt Player).

i really hope they sort out the browser so that it returns to the place you were before you closed the plugin, when you reopen it.

It’s already available (and in prior versions too).
It’s the 3rd option on the support page, linked below.

https://support.native-instruments.com/ ... KT-Library

Any new features can cause breaks and that’s likely what you’re reading… not a new feature but just listing that it’s fixed (again).

Once more, a big reason not to get too excited about specifics unless you’re just excited to know there might be a version 7 in development.

kmonkey wrote: Tue Aug 23, 2022 9:08 am I am curious, what do people expect at this point from the sampler behemoth such as Kontakt 7?
I don't know what it is called, but I would very much like a quick and intuitive way to build a control interface - knobs, faders, fx, linking it to what you can do underneath the wrench in a cohesive way for key parameters. I'm sure there are many who are experts at building these with current tools, but I'd like something for average joes who want a tone control, a chorus and reverb nob, adsr sliders, etc.

not true.
you can ‘open’ third party libraries in the browser, but not ‘import’ them, which i think is what we’re all hoping for.
that would mean ALL your libraries in the libraries browser, rather than some being in the file browser.

Yes true. It’s exactly their terminology, not my own.

This might not be what you’re hoping for, but this is what the NI calls it. Just follow the link and see for yourself.
