So I am demoing the h9 bundle but I am not sure I wanna spend the 200 still, are there any alternatives to Crystals? so far is the one I think it is more unique. While I also like black hole, ultratap and shimmer I do think those have alternatives.
Also which other of the effects included in the bundle could I be overlooking?

Crystals isn't really a pitch-shifter at all though - while it indeed includes pitch-shifting, what it does is something entirely different to a simple pitch-shifter.rod_zero wrote: Sat Aug 27, 2022 6:05 pm I know, but i wanna see what are the options out there, i have not followed which are the more recent/popular pitch shifters outhere
Like Soundtoys Crystallizer, which just been mentioned, it specifically seeks to emulate a certain famous special effect - the algorithm Crystal Echoes from the Eventide H3000 (which was developed by Soundtoys founder&CEO Ken Bogdanovich)

Blue Cat Late Replies is way more powerful and could be used for reversed pitch shifted delays (doesnt actually have a built in reverser I dont think but can host vst's )
Also Valhalla Delay

I use crystals all the time, there are many sales with eventide. Be patient, I bought it for 29 each a few and then got the h9 collection. Crystals is the one I use the most, next to the rotary and blackhole

how many plugins did you have when you upgraded to the h9 collection? and how much the upgrade was?Septic Underground wrote: Sun Aug 28, 2022 6:39 am I use crystals all the time, there are many sales with eventide. I think getting crystals and blackhole in offer is nice but maybe later I want ultratap and try the others more extensevly

U-he's MFM 2.5...
Lots of shimmery, granular forward or reverse pitch-shifted delays possible... plenty of modulation options

It sounds like an octaver into a reverb/ delay. You can do this with a couple plugins very easily at least what's happening in the demos above. One freeware
or cheap pitchshifter/ granular delay into a reverb on a send. Gives that sparkle and diffusion without the "infinite climbing" of a shimmer reverb type feedback loop. Not a hard effect to realize, but a cheap and easy to use plugin that does this might be worth it if you want this style of FX often. if you have a semi modular host then it's something that can be slapped together in a minute or so also so it's more of a convenience in some cases
