Minimal actually released Rift's feedback section as its own freebie plugin a couple months back too.

What are you using at the moment that has those?

Rift for asym and LFOtool/Serum FX for filters.

Rift is excellent. I use the separate feedback plugin quite a bit too

rift didnt gel with me. the feedback plugin from minimal I used also, but sounds very static too me in comparison with the arturia one, but is a great freebee. This Arturia one sounds very good and I like the gui also more than the minimal rift. IMO

Nah, demo it first. It has eleven distortion types which is great, but you'll have to see if any of them work for you.

Also see how easy you find it to automate parameters on existing distortion plugins that you like. Hint: this is super easy in Bitwig.

The demos on their web page sounded really great, but a non arturia YouTube video made me think I should demo it and compare.

I have lots of flavours of distortion already, but this one does seem worth demoing.

I find saturation to be very well covered these days, but to me distortion seems to have more identity and can make it more hit or miss. That said it only takes one great tone for me to think it'd be worth picking up. (€49)

This is a good comment for me to read. I'm always a sucker for good distortion. This one didn't get on my radar but I've seen a few people praising it recently.

I love a good distortion shoot out though. So this will get demoed I'm sure.

The features of rift are interesting and cool, but the distortion algorithms on ColdFire sound better IMO.

I demoed, maybe I'm not really into distortion all that much? Definitely a good plugin, I liked the transformer models, but the rest didn't do much for me for some reason. I'll demo it some more though.
