Hi,

There are no specific issues with Cubase in general, but there could be things that may cause stability problems:
- A particular plug-in that has compatibility issues with PatchWork. A single incompatible plug-in is enough to cause trouble.
- There are indeed potential issues when using the same VST3 plug-in (VST should be fine) in both Cubase and PatchWork and if you completely remove it from only one of them. This is a design issue with VST3 plug-in format and may cause crashes with some particular plug-ins.

Do you maybe have crash reports to share? It is usually not a big deal to see where the crash occurred and it may help find out what the issue is.

On a similar note, the Izotope Excalibur AU plugin crashed my copy of Cubase 12 on loading. I haven’t tried a second time.

You cannot generate a crash report but there may be more information in the logs. They can be found using the "Console" system application.
