Also think we have to note that Dune is a different era. It's been around quite awhile and they weren't (aren't I assume as well) going to do a wholesale rewrite of the UI. Might not be the best but people clearly are getting work done with it.

Kinda silly to not update. Just have a choice of OG or new fully-expanded GUI showing all the oscs at once, which is the biggest bummer with working with Dune.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

What is the new GUI with all the oscillators? I don't see it.

Edit: I misunderstood, I thought the new GUI was available in the 3.5 update.

I tend to agree. A lot of cumbersome paging in Dune.

You can reskin and rescript Dunes UI, which you can't with Pigments.

Good news...

So can you show me how to rescript the GUI and send Oscillator 1 to Filter 1 and Oscillator 2 to Filter 2 ?

That would be great...thanks

I highly doubt that you can radically change the GUI. In most plugins, you can rather change the "skin", not the layout of the synth's GUI sections.

These are quite diff, not just recolours

I was only stirring about the GUI tweak...

One of the things I would have liked to seen most in DUNE 3 apart from more polyphony, was separate filter paths for the oscillators...

That would really open up the sound shaping...

Maybe it's on the menu for V4,but this Elvis has already left the building 🥳

But the Osc's are still on separate tabs on all of those...

Pretty easy to do already using 2 layers... bit finicky as you have to remember to switch for editing

Indeed. I dont think the skining system allows for all to be exposed at once.I don't think you are ever going to get everything one page ( someone wants all osc, another wants all mods etc)

It is what it is. An 8 layer synth with lots of features that requires tabs. You either put up with it, or move on.

I'm fine with it, lots of stuff I use is tabbed.

It looks like skinning is for graphics only, not layout, which is a pity as I think a Rapid-style layout would be of great benefit to sound designers.
