Just in case anyone wants to follow the NI Community thread.

I think there are chances of Komplete 14 being announced in October first week. I still hope that it gets announced next week or even a week after that.

EDIT: Just noticed that iZotope is releasing their new versions of Ozone and RX this month, so it will be interesting to see if their release coincides with that of NI's Komplete 14.

They’re doing the sales now. Usually happens before new version.

The NI website is getting a little refresh (hover your mouse on Products tab). The new "Product Search" bar looks good. Seems like we are getting closer...

No I’m not, I’m guessing September 7 - the last day of the sale is the 6th.

Yes, or even September 8th. NI usually releases new products on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but occasionally on Wednesdays too. Kontakt 7 on September 7 sounds nice though, and even Komplete 14 (7 x 2). ;)

I just hope it drops this week. Can't wait any more, you know why.

Hasn't the pattern with previous releases been to wait at least a month after the sales finish before officially announcing/dropping the next version? I always assumed it was to ensure customers who bought that version didn't get a free upgrade, judging by the amount of posts I see from angry customers who bought in the sale.

Yes, that would make sense, but this is the first time with NI that such a thing is happening. Last time, there was no sale after Summer of Sound, so there was a good 2 months period before the announcement, and the announcement month became the grace period month.

That's why we are also thinking of a possible October announcement. It should be an interesting week this one, as some leaks or information on K14 should surface once the K13 sale is over tomorrow.

Interestingly, the FM8 sale at Plugin Boutique is also ending on September 6.

I strongly hope that they put some quality stuff into it and not just more presets/sample packs or bundles with Izo.

At least all the effects should be Apple Silicon Native - if not, i'll wait with the upgrade as long as possible.

They can do anything in K14, I strongly doubt I will buy it when BF comes

The Absynth developer (Brian Clevinger) left NI years ago, unfortunately.
Oh really? Has he done anything since leaving?

Yes, the wonderful Plasmonic. My favorite physical modeling synth…

Heard on an interview from him that it still was working for NI too.
