I've never done this before.

Thanks!
It's not that hard! I'm a complete noob at everything programming myself, and was able to work it out from googling around a little bit. :)

On Mac, you're gonna need ProJUCEr and XCode. The latter was the most annoying part of the setup, since Xcode is like lots of GB's in size, and for some reason appears as being even bigger while being downloaded (something something file systems being complicated).

Once those things were installed it was easy to start messing around with stuff.

On Windows/Linux, I've no idea. But I expect it's similar. :)
I'm also on Mac. Thanks for the tip!
Hi, i got an error with xcode when i want to export the project.

Is there a tuto or an AU version available somewhere (i'm on mojave / xcode 11.3.1)?

Thanx a lot in advance for your help.

What's the error message?

"Implicit conversion loses integer precision" (lots of those)

So for those wh are on windows i managed to build the VST3 plugin.

you can find it here:
https://github.com/drakh/Livecut-GUI/releases/tag/0.1

it is slightly modified version of https://github.com/eventual-recluse/Livecut-GUI just some lame adjustements to be able to build it

I'm a total noob but managed to follow a guide on GitHub and build an AU for M1 macs.
Loaded an amen break and it's doing its thing just as I remember.
Here it is https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BMtVSyLLQw1nXSJOTqvBCPVXxVgyMRkW?usp=sharing)

Reaper, Win 11, also failed to scan it for me. (alternatively, Chrisglitch is on sale till end of the month, $34 or $29 (depending on country tax), coupon: BLACK-FRIDAY-2022 ).

I also haven't gotten the VST3 to scan tbh. The AU did though, which of course doesn't help the windows folks. :/

Again, can warmly recommend ChrisGlitch. The dev just pushed an update that improves certain clickiness that used to happen with reverse slices, which was a very welcome update.

Hmm I don't have Ableton, but i tested it with Bitwig, Tracktion/Waveform and Brainmodular. No problem there.. you need to look for "Livecut" not "Livecut-GUI" if the vst is in the right folder

Ah i forgot i have Live Lite (11.1.1) So rescaned the plugins.

The plugin shows under "Plug-Ins" in "Browser", under VST3/Mdsp@smartelectronix/Livecut
