I found the following information :
This new version 2 increases the reverb model count from five to 12, and adds 80 convolution impulse responses, bringing the total count to 250. The number of factory presets has grown from 400 to 510, and the plug-in’s Effect section has also gained a new Colour option along with a Tilt EQ function. The Reverb section has also been updated with the addition of a new Gate mode.

Guys! Being on the fence on this one. Love old reverbs - How do you think this one fits in with one who loves the ValhallaVintage? Overlapping? Or different?

I don't own Valhalla but there is a demo for 80'S Spaces so I'd advise giving it a go for yourself not just for the sound but system compatibility, GUI size etc.DrGonzo wrote: Sun Sep 11, 2022 6:50 am Guys! Keep in mind 80 Space's is a Convolution Reverb.

I use Valhalla VintageVerb mainly and it's still a very "clean" reverb. 80's Spaces is a more gritty sound to me. By the way, if need to get a very long lush reverb, the VintageVerb is very good but I can't find a very long reverb at 80's Spaces for example over 5 seconds.

They are less present than some years ago but you can try :Teksonik wrote: Thu Sep 08, 2022 7:46 pm So I'm very exited to hear some of the older plugins are getting love by the new team. But I really hope they add a resize option to them.
Just knowing there is a new team to carry on the NF lineup is very comforting.![]()

Thanks, it doesn't look like either account has been here since April but I may try sending a PM. I have a couple of other messages out there as well.
Plugivery does have it's own dedicated forums with a sub-fourm for Nomad Factory but it doesn't look like there is much activity there either from developers or users.

Ahh I see now that he did.
I wonder if it would be OK to quote his post here? I asked him there or if he could post here. Lots of great information about updates from Nomad Factory in that post.

Hey folks,
It's been a while and I apologize for not being around on forum boards and socials these past months / years...
Thank you Teksonik for making me aware of this topic
We sent a press release about 80s Spaces v2 on September 6th and KVR kindly covered it :
https://www.kvraudio.com/news/nomad-fac ... v2-0-55738
I also posted this today on the Nomad Factory forum at Plugivery and it totally applies to this thread :
"First of all, thank you very much for your comments in this forum. I do see that myself and the team have not been very active on this forum board and I apologize about that.
To keep you folks in the loop, it is much more than Nomad Factory products that needed to be upgraded to our new framework. As you may know, we also acquired the responsibility to keep the BBE Sound plug-ins up to date (as these have been developed by Nomad Factory for BBE Sound) and there is also Plug & Mix that was an other big project that I started years back, again using the Nomad Factory framework to build our own plug-ins...
The problem when porting software from an old framework, to a new one, is "Backward Compatibility". It is the "fine tuning" that literally takes weeks or even months to do for each plug-in, so that it sounds and feels exactly the same from old sessions recorded years ago. Many companies don't really bother with that but we do...
At this time we ported all BBE Sound software to our new framework and a major upgrade should be announced before the end of the month. That means that the Sonic Sweet Bundle and the BBE StompBoard will now be fully compatible with all computer OS and plug-in formats as 80s Spaces actually is.
There's also the Plug & Mix V.I.P. Bundle that counts 50 plug-ins that is now almost ready to launch, all nice and clean. That should be in early October.
So, as I said, other Nomad Factory products are on the way to be ported but it will unfortunately take some time. I hope all of them will be ready before the end the end of 2023... While we gained great experience porting lots of plug-ins, we know that this is not something that can be done correctly with a finger snap.
As for the GUIs, I feel 80s Spaces is big enough on a 4k 27 inch iMac Pro but resizing is on the todo list for up coming updates...
Thank you all for your patience and your understanding".
To be honest, I am deeply touched to read so many great comments from long time Nomad Factory customers. Thank you all for for the amazing testimonials and your support... And your patience !
Be sure that I will do my very best to have all of these great plug-ins upgraded ASAP. It's a killer and costly task but we'll do it ! And those upgrades will always remain FREE as we announced years back...
Oh BTW, While 80s Spaces v2 is available at $39 from the Nomad Factory website:
https://go.nomadfactory.com/products/p3054-80s-Spaces/
it can also be purchased at $29 bucks from the KVR market place:
https://www.kvraudio.com/product/80s-sp ... ad-factory
and all official pro audio resellers worldwide:

Cheers folks !

Thanks for posting Eric! It's great to see the Nomad Factory plugins getting some love again.
I loaded up Cosmos today, put it on a mix and it still sounds awesome. I hope it gets some love along with Drum Tools, Echoes, MFX-Magma, etc.
These plugins are too good to just fade into history.
Oh and cool video!......
MFX-Magma: 65 FX, 4 Racks, 32 Slot Mod Matrix, 8 LFO, 8 MSEG.....

Thanks for that - it didn't even occur to me they had a demo. Feels like more and more developers skip that these days. Convolution? Not bad. It's always good to have one of those to balance algorithmic verbs.Teksonik wrote: Sun Sep 11, 2022 1:20 pmI don't own Valhalla but there is a demo for 80'S Spaces so I'd advise giving it a go for yourself not just for the sound but system compatibility, GUI size etc.DrGonzo wrote: Sun Sep 11, 2022 6:50 am Guys!
