I found a Stardock thing that does a pretty good job but it's still shit compared to Win10, mostly because it remains unresizable so I have to use separate pages for different things. i.e. Music stuff on the first page, graphics stuff on the second and other shit on the third page. At least it's bearable now, though, and there is enough good stuff in Win11 to stop me from reverting it to Win10.
This solves the taskbar and start menu in W11:

So did Stardock's thing.

Is the taskbar still stuck to the bottom in Windows 11 ? Personally, I always have my taskbar stuck on the right side of the screen. All I can say is not being able to move the taskbar, is retarded.

Here's a solution for the Windows 11 taskbar being stuck at the bottom.

I Love Fences but hate Stardock.
Several times a day I get a reminder to update.
No way to turn it off.
Scum of the earth company.

Got a new PC at work recently and a hydraulic desk so I can work standing up if I like.

Nice.

New keyboard was crap though so bought a nice wireless mechanical Logi one. Super f**king clacky but office is just me, so no worries. Stoked.

You can use a transparent 9x4x2.5mm silicon o-rings to damp the stroke down.

If your keyboard has hot-swappable switches, you can change to a silent switch.

I had a noname keyboard and changed to customized to my needs and it was the best thing I ever did! Unbelievable!! And mine is not even in the expensive side...

Solution to a made up problem. My 20 year old PS/2 membrane keyboard says hi.

It's like buying a trumpet and complaining about the loudness :D

Post

I bought mechanical for the ease of hitting the right key when I type compared to low profile keyboards, not because of the noise it makes. You can (obviously) get quieter mechanicals than the one I've ended up with.

Trumpets are shite.

I was quite a fan of mechanical keyboards. Used a Filco Majestouch for the longest time and I still have it and it works just fine. One day, though, I decided to get a Microsoft Surface keyboard with fingerprint ID (because of the fingerprint ID, duh..) and quite liked it. Been using those low profile keys since then. It's much faster to type on and less noise....
