No chance of that low a price. Maybe $200-240
Oh I know, I'm just saying £99 is where I'd bite.
There's already as subscription, but it's just awful.

It's already at that price more or less £99 =$114.71, it's actually $119.88 per year. So no way in hell is a subscription coming out that's £99 a year with even just vanilla Komplete. You can count on it being more like £15-20 a month or so or more.

The speed at which Native Access 2 is being updated it seems that version 3 will be out by Komplete 14 release on September 27!

...or, it's simply half-baked and needs rushing to get it properly working...? :)

I hope Native access 2.x or 3.x will install all the Izotope and PA products (Not just those in K14) Having a unified and well-functioning install-reg tool that sticks to it's purpose, installing and registering products, would be suite. :dog:

$199 for K14 update is fine, based on my personal uses.
Cheers

I hope that Plugin Alliance will take over the licence transfer model of NI.
Then there's a chance to offload finally all the stuff I never use (the 20$ fee is too prohibitive).

Instead, we're treated to "Absynth 6 feet under!"

Is we're talking Mac, I actually hope that Native Access adds some innovative stuff from Izotope product manager, such as: an uninstaller.

It's 2022, for God's sake, and Native Access for Mac DOESN'T HAVE A PRODUCT UNINSTALLER.

mi-os wrote: Sun Sep 11, 2022 11:42 am I think they need to come up with a better solution for existing users who want to update to a new version of a plugin (maybe be redeeming older licenses, but without losing older versions for legacy project recall).

I currently have Komplete 13 and the only thing remotely interesting in Komplete 14 to me is Kontakt 7. The Komplete update is $200 but is even at half off much too expensive. Their update from any older version to the newest doesn't make sense in my case, especially when they don't offer more useful stuff with it to make that price look reasonable (to me). I know that problem is as old as Komplete itself.

So to me it looks like the next occasion to consider a Komplete update is a Komplete 15 half off sale which is many years ahead. Not a nice prospect.
There will be an upgrade path to Kontakt 7 when it's released. It likely will be $99 and if you're like me you will put it off until one of their sales and get it for $50.

I've routinely upgraded every other version, I'm not sure why that's not a nice prospect? I went from 2, 4,5,6,9, 10U, 12U previous to 13U coming out which gave me 13U free. The period 4,5,6 I realized that it was not paying off as well to upgrade every time, if you skip a version you get a lot of new toys. The gist of why I'm just not that interested in Komplete anymore is because of the Play series and how Ultimate is just filled with protected sample content in a walled off Kontakt plug in shell that prevents you from really messing with it.
Thanks. I totally forgot/overlooked that there are individual updates available. When did they introduce that? I'm almost sure that was not always possible. $50 sounds still a little pricey for just the Kontakt update though.

At least they provide a full "how to delete" list on their website...

if you look on what remains after other's "uninstallers", like, preferences, half the sample content, dozens of calling-home tokens...

My service center is still on 1.14.

LOL if you put it that way, its actually better not to have an uninstaller! Boy, writing a proper uninstaller can't be that hard.

By the way, if you watch the video on NI's support page for NI Access 2, you can clearly see a "Subscription" area. It's not yet visible, when you download and install Access 2 now, but it might point into the direction of Komplete's future.

Never mind Komplete's future, it's Komplete's present. It is for those with a Komplete Now subscription - they talk through it @5.38
