There are indeed several learn modes planned for the future, but we might release first a version as is (these new features have been in work for such a long time!)

Mmmh... Looks like there is some new preview coming soon... :-)

brilliant, I'm literally proud of you, I would suggest a mapping curve

as is in Studio One, but we're getting closer and closer :)

This may indeed be added in the future, just like we have mapping curves for MIDI control.

Post

btw. the formula-based mapping which can be found in FL Studio is also pretty useful in specific. like EDM-related genres

I wouldn't want to be an Annoy-o-Tron, but also would be nice if the min<>max values would be able to move by linked together (by pressed shift or something)

Image

in Freestyle the "range rectangles" also can be moved not just the marginal values ... handy in sound designing

Great work!! I'm really hyped about this update, and I've really been enjoying the preview so far!! I would love some mapping curves.

edit: An option to rearrange the macros would be nice also.

PS
If you ever bring some modulators, i will be pay in a glimpse and keep thanking you every day, for letting me take "bitwig" on a trip to other daws. If not, I know it's not an easy job I will still be happy

This is great stuff! I've been among those pestering you for these features for a while. Glad to see them coming to fruition. And the implementation looks great!

Nomad's Magma has the basic modulator functionally (although mods can't mod mods)

just it hasn't got parameter learning functionality so totally useless (should select the param from a long drop-down list as was in the first beta of Patchwork) this is why I've requested learning the last modified param instantly, at least Patchwork goes to right direction now

It has indeed been in the todo list for a while, but there have been (unfortunately) a couple of other technical things to get done in the past few years (mainly thanks to Apple & Steinberg).

Wasn't a complaint at all! I'm sympathetic to everything that goes into maintaining a large product line and balancing all the different aspects of running an audio software company these days. I'm happy to see it. :D
