I'll buy it when this is done. Sounds great.Plugivery wrote: Mon Sep 12, 2022 4:55 pm
As for the GUIs, I feel 80s Spaces is big enough on a 4k 27 inch iMac Pro but resizing is on the todo list for up coming updates...

$39 (or $29) is a good price for this.
And as someone who has almost all the NF plug-ins, I'm pretty pleased they're being supported going forwards: although a lot of them I don't use (how many channel emulators/EQs do I really need?), I'm a sucker for Echoes, Magnetic II and the Liquid series.

Considering the size of the Nomad Factory and Plug & Mix catalogs that's not an unreasonable time especially if they're going to implement GUI resize. This isn't all of them, there are a few more like the PM Pro plugins:

And considering how long VST3 has been around ? I can't remember the last time NF updated anything tbh. So not only the time that has passed, add on another year and a half, does seem too long.Teksonik wrote: Tue Sep 13, 2022 2:14 pmConsidering the size of the Nomad Factory and Plug & Mix catalogs that's not an unreasonable time especially if they're going to implement GUI resize. But whatever, I haven't used them for a while, as they were buggy, would be nice to have that option back one day. If it's a paid upgrade, i'll be leaving them well alone.

You do know that Bernie Torelli who was the CEO and President of Nomad Factory passed away right? It took time to rebuild the team. I'm just happy that they have a new team in place and work has begun again.LeVzi wrote: Wed Sep 14, 2022 5:46 amAnd considering how long VST3 has been around ? Let's give them a chance....(as far as I know it's still just two guys working on the code) and see what the future holds.
In case you missed the salient points, especially my bolded text at the end....

To keep you folks in the loop, it is much more than Nomad Factory products that needed to be upgraded to our new framework. As you may know, we also acquired the responsibility to keep the BBE Sound plug-ins up to date (as these have been developed by Nomad Factory for BBE Sound) and there is also Plug & Mix that was an other big project that I started years back, again using the Nomad Factory framework to build our own plug-ins...
The problem when porting software from an old framework, to a new one, is "Backward Compatibility". It is the "fine tuning" that literally takes weeks or even months to do for each plug-in, so that it sounds and feels exactly the same from old sessions recorded years ago. Many companies don't really bother with that but we do...
At this time we ported all BBE Sound software to our new framework and a major upgrade should be announced before the end of the month. That means that the Sonic Sweet Bundle and the BBE StompBoard will now be fully compatible with all computer OS and plug-in formats as 80s Spaces actually is.
There's also the Plug & Mix V.I.P. Bundle that counts 50 plug-ins that is now almost ready to launch, all nice and clean. That should be in early October.
So, as I said, other Nomad Factory products are on the way to be ported but it will unfortunately take some time. I hope all of them will be ready before the end the end of 2023... While we gained great experience porting lots of plug-ins, we know that this is not something that can be done correctly with a finger snap.
Be sure that I will do my very best to have all of these great plug-ins upgraded ASAP. It's a killer and costly task but we'll do it ! And those upgrades will always remain FREE as we announced years back...

If that was aimed at me, i'm not trashing NF I just think the updates could have happened quicker, I am not sure when the CEO passed, but I haven't seen a single update even for the VST2 versions in forever.digitalboytn wrote: Wed Sep 14, 2022 8:37 pm Nomad Factory have always been trashed by the fan boy snobs, but there's a few real gems in their catalog...

It was just a general comment that many peeps look down on Nomad Factory, but they have a few gems in their catalog. ...
Bus Driver is wonderful, even if you just pass audio through it and some of the elements inside the Analog Studio Rack are rather nice ...
But of course...beauty is in the ear of the beholder

Integral Studio owner here. Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed by that but I've collected IK and PSP stuff that competes for the most part. I really like the Motown and Pulse-eTc EQs though.

That's exactly the one I want updated too. Plus if you list in Cubase in vendors, it doesn't come under PSP, it is listed as unknown. lol basic things that are annoying.machinesworking wrote: Fri Sep 16, 2022 6:01 pmMeh, Slow, but GUI, VST3 and Apple Silicon update for about half their stuff now.LeVzi wrote: Fri Sep 16, 2022 8:18 amDon't get me started on PSPmachinesworking wrote: Fri Sep 16, 2022 7:05 amIntegral Studio owner here. The Cubase thing, well I don't use Cubase, but in DP and Live it's pretty much about half the developers are dumb enough to have different names for their AU registration and their VST registration, so the developer gets listed twice with slightly different names. In the case of PSP it's PSP AU and PSP audioware.com VST3.LeVzi wrote: Sat Sep 17, 2022 9:37 amThat's exactly the one I want updated too. So does this mean 80s Spaces is Apple Silicon native?Plugivery wrote: Mon Sep 12, 2022 4:55 pm That means that the Sonic Sweet Bundle and the BBE StompBoard will now be fully compatible with all computer OS and plug-in formats as 80s Spaces actually is.
I looked at the product page, and it is too vague.
It says for Mac Requirements:
- CPU: Intel 64 bit or Apple Silicon
So, developers need to be conscious of this and explicitly state āApple Silicon nativeā when applicable. Most of us on M1 look for that, specifically, and assume itās not native if itās not stated.
