NI Komplete Kontrol M32/A49 integration with Waveform Free?

Hi, after a review of available MIDI keyboards in my price range and feature-set I've decided to go with either of Native Instruments's Kontrol M32 or A49, not fully decided yet due to size considerations.
Does anyone here uses or used in the past either of them and can let know if they integrate well with Waveform Free (I use 2022 update)?
There are Komplete Kontrol A/M/S presets present in the Control Surfaces submenu so I'd guess the mapping is provided, just wanted to confirm.
Cheers!

I have the M32, the touch strip mod wheel / pitch bend drive me insane. Get the A25/A49 instead.

Thanks! I think I will go for M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini, but there's another thread suggesting it's tricky (but doable) to make it work with Waveform.FigBug wrote: Sat Sep 17, 2022 11:47 pm I have the M32, the touch strip mod wheel / pitch bend drive me insane. Get the A25/A49 instead.

If you know a bit of Javascript, you can make any controller behave exactly how you want it to. Been meaning to write a tutorial.

Can you shed some more light? I know JavaScript but is it we are configuring and where?FigBug wrote: Tue Sep 20, 2022 2:54 pm If you know a bit of Javascript, you can make any controller behave exactly how you want it to. Been meaning to write a tutorial.

Look in ~/Library/Application Support/Tracktion/Waveform/Controllers/Factory/Example.js (mac, Windows/Linux is similar path).
Copy Example.js into the User folder and rename to MyController.js or whatever. Or if you want to customize a controller, copy its scripts into user folder and edit. Don't edit anything in the factory folder, your changes will be overwritten. Files are hot reloaded as you save, you so can make changes and quickly test.
There is a function you fill in, onMidiReceivedFromDevice(). In that function you parse the midi and tell waveform what to do. There are a bunch of functions like onMoveFader or onPanPotMoved you fill in and tell the controller what to do.
You can either call the javascript like the keyboard macros or there are special functions just for control surfaces.

Oh, I forgot there is a reveal script button in Waveform when you click on a control surface that opens the script folder.

Komplete Kontrol isn't working for me. It recognizes Play/Record/whatever buttons and moves the cursor when turning the 4-way button. But track changes don't work. Tried fiddling with the JS but the input data is missing critical parameters to make it happen. Does anyone have track changes with the 4-way dial working? Thanks

I don't have any of their keyboards, so may not be of much help myself, but wondering if you might find anything useful here?

That would be enough for me but I can't integrate the Komplete Kontrol M32 to work outside of sending midi (which works fine). I bought it second hand and apparently the account, to which the serial was registered, can't be accessed anymore.threeeye wrote: Wed Jun 21, 2023 1:15 am It recognizes Play/Record/whatever buttons and moves the cursor when turning the 4-way button.
I am in contact with NI support but in general, would I need any software that's only available after registration of the serial that enables (basic) DAW control in Waveform Pro, like threeeye has mentioned above?

You will need to be able to install the host integration service through Native Access, which I presume will require having been able to register it first.

For others with a second hand Komplete Kontrol keyboard:
I bought the M32 used and had to contact support to be able to register the serial. But even after registering and receiving a voucher code and downloading all available software, "Komplete Kontrol" never showed up in my Native Access app.
I had to manually request it from this link, only then it showed up.
