It seems Waveform can not support Oxygen Pro 25 MIDI controller?

... and probably put it in General MIDI mode while doing that?

I got my M-Audio Oxygen Pro 25 working with Waveform 11 but it took me some time to figure it all out.
But once I installed MidiView (https://hautetechnique.com/midi/midiview/#download (https://hautetechnique.com/midi/midiview/#download)) I was able to see that all the daw controls, fader, transports, knobs and pads, were coming from MIDIIN3 when using the USERDAW preset.
So make sure MIDIIN3 is enabled under MIDI devices.

After that I used the M-Audio Oxygen Pro 25 Preset Editor (separate application) to load the USERDAW settings and rename the preset to WF11 so it shows up as such on the display of the midi controller. I also changed the colour of the pads to match the colour of the mute and solo buttons in Waveform.
Loading the USERDAW settings is essential the rest is just a nice touch.

With this preset loaded in the midi controller I went back to Waveform and configured a custom control surface.
Click on Create New Custom Control Surface under Control Surfaces.
After naming it M-Audio and selecting the MIDIIN3 as midi input device and for good measure MIDIOUT3 as output device you're almost done. (I have no idea if MIDIOUT3 is actually needed but it didn't hurt either.)

Now it's time to click the Edit Control Mappings... button to actually map each fader, knob, pad and transport button to map them to a useful function in Waveform.
When you click on Click here to choose a controller and turn a knob it should register the knob in the first column.
If nothing happens something went wrong.
I have set it up to be useful with mixing but there are more functions in Waveform than buttons on the controller so have fun trying things out for yourself.

I hope this helps.

This sounds great! Would you be able to share the M-Audio presets from both Waveform and the M-Audio Preset Editor?
I have reached out to M-Audio support team to request the Waveform support, we'll see.

Hi, I have Oxygen Pro 49. Oxygen Pro has DAW mode and Presets mode.Midi Out 3 is for Mackie Control Universal. You can control the mixer faders, pan, play, stop...etc while Oxygen Pro is in DAW mode. To do that you have to configure Mackie Control Universal in Waveform. I'm not in home now but I think is under Control Surfaces, then select MCU and select Midi Out 3 (in/out). You must enable this ports first. Then select preset mode in the Oxygen to control Waveform instruments or plugins. It doesn't matter the preset. (Cubase, Studio One...) You can use Midi 2 to control a external device at the same time as I do with a Roland synthesizer I have but need to switch from DAW mode to Preset mode.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

My Oxygen Pro 25 works, sometimes you have to cycle the power on the back of the keyboard or restart Waveform

Yeah, we really need a "reset MIDI" similarly to what we have for audio devices. If you accidentally disconnect a USB cable to a controller, you're currently pretty much forced to completely shut down Waveform and restart. Or if you forgot to connect in the first place, or power it up but didn't delay starting Waveform until the controller is fully ready.
