It won't. Consumer hardware will be more expensive down the road. Tendency is already here with GPUs and motherboards. They already cut the low end products, they almost always have terrible price/performance.

Back in the days, the cheaper the hardware, more bang for the buck. These days you better buy in the middle (i.e. i5 12400). If you buy cheaper than that, you lose value for money. Bite the bullet and you don't need to upgrade for a while saving you money in the long term.

I've used a 5950x with 64gb ram running win10 pro with FL studio 20. Never had any issues. Used it for about 6 months and then the desktop sat there as I needed something more mobile. Never had any issues and it ran great.

7600x is the way to go. shreds even the big 12k´s in singlecore performances AND is upfront on many games. if youre a user of multicore performant tasks its demanding to buy the higher price ranges. 7700x thou is very fast, but not THAT fast to justify not buying the 7600x or the bigger 7ks - if your wallet isnt limited that much.
i hope they dont boil down the 7600g...the 7600x performance plus no gfx card needed? nice

as a SERIOUS producer, i wouldnt even touch the boost functionality of a cpu. straight disable it. go with the basic speed.
if theres any problem with cpu, just a simple trick: bounce the track.
tdp stable, no cpu pumping and throttling means more stable audio data flow.

The trick is to change the O/S power settings when making music.
In Windows, set it to High Performance mode and it locks it at the maximum Turbo Boost speed.
So no 'CPU pumping' or audio glitches.
Then when I exit my DAW I stick the O/S back on to Balanced as it saves power.
I have a shortcut on the desktop so the whole thing takes 5 seconds each time.
Much less hassle than bouncing audio.
