Sound on Sound January edition has a review of a new keyboard with built in PC with touchscreen. Called Nevo (or something similar)

Comes with Tracktion as its core sequencer

Looks like the answer to my cable hell

Oh hang on its 4 grand (UK sterling)

Sounds pretty cool. It's called the Neko64:

Wow! That's a quite a coup for Tracktion!
I liked the idea of the Neko, apart from one thing - the screen. When it was in development, I e-mailed the developers with the comment that the screen could be really vulnerable to physical damage, spillages etc, particularly in a live environment, and also that its fixed angle could be a bit irksome. They didn't agree though...

Bundled software includes: GigaStudio 32, SonicSynth with Sample Tank LE, Traction, Orion Pro, Karsyn, and over forty (40) VST and VSTi plug-ins totaling hundreds of sounds and effects.

Where does it say Tracktion is bundled?

Anyway, it looks cool. But I wonder how twitchy using faders with the touch screen would be, and virtual knobs would be weird as well.

I could see that there would be some tracking problems with the touch screen so it might not be great for very subtle adjustments but it has a trackpad below the screen and you can always just use the real knobs and sliders.

That looks like the kind of synth I dreamed about as a kid. I now have a virtual studio that can produce sounds that any superstar artist would have killed for when I was a kid but I still essentially want just lots of knobs, buttons, and switches. I just need to start saving up for a really nice controller.
