Tuning Table Generator Question / Feature Request for Repro-1

Hello, I am a long time hardware Pro One user... and a bit unhappy with repro-1, resulting in never using it.. It sounds too tamed.. I tune my hardware pro ones myself.. going really slightly a bit sharp in the highs.. or flat in the subs.. I really like that.

It would be really great if the tweaks page would allow partly the tune possibilities of the original..

So scaling for each oscillator at least..

The flat on lowest note trick is really age old, back to Moog days, and naturally correct for sub basses.. they never sound right when being in equal temperament 440.. need to be tuned lower.

Is the tuning table generator on UHEs webpage able to help here?
Is there a trick to gete a micro tuning table that actually stretches slightly and high resolution over the entire key range?

But..As for repro-1 itself, a knob in the tweaks page would be way nicer to handle, and adjustable in realtime on the running session.. A more fun tweak than abstract value tables.. And with a little screwdriver that parameter is on the original synth available from the front.. SCI had in mind that someone might like to tweak there.. which especially makes sense with the pro ones FM sound ability.. where you usually just have a few keys that sound nice, on heavy audio rate freq modulation of an oscilator.. with the scaling pot you can change the scaling of the oscillator to actually match your FM sound..and suddenly you get over an octave range where it sounds nice.. for the price that you have to retune that oscillator for the next session.. but.. since its very minute changes.. that of scaling of one oscillator just might sound great on another session too. In any case a parameter on the pro one some people actually really play with.. I guess I am not the only one on the planet.. In case I am... I think its recommendable for hardware pro one users to experiment with this.. Maybe it would be nice for Repro 1 users too..at least them have the benefit of storability and easy reset... So no risks and hazels involved...

But since I don't see much chance to get see that anytime soon, a workaround would be good.
Can UHE´s tuningtable generator do that?

thanks n greets, Sven

Hi Sven,
you can already do that (or something close to that) in the Repro synths, you can use a modulation slot to change the spread of an oscillator. Assign "KeyFollow" to the frequency of one of the oscillators, turn up the amount for a wider spread or down for a narrower spread.

Cheers,
Viktor

You could also do it using MTS-EPS. Has some cost, but worth it if you like to explore different tunings

That would work on the overall tuning of course, not separately on the individual oscillators. But for applying a general tuning "map", yes that would work as well.

:tu:

When the CLAP version of RePro comes out, then it will be easy in Bitwig per Osc without using up the mod slots! :D
