GONE NOW.
I have an unused Softube Dirty Tape license available for free.
I would register it today just in case you can't register it after the Steinberg offer expires today.
It requires an iLok account.
Send me a PM and if you don't hear back from me assume that somebody else received it.
I'll update this once I have found it a new home.

Thomann has it for $129 plus applicable fees
https://www.thomannmusic.com/toontrack_sdx_hitmaker.htm
Best bet is the SDX Value Pack at Thomann, 3 SDXes at $95 each.

Check the re-sellers, don't check the re-sellers. I don't care.

Weird - the only Spectral Suites I know of are both open source/free, and one is also Mac onlyWasteLand wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 6:59 pm a bit of strange, or perhaps not strange, sale or bundle sale: Bitwig Studio Upgrade (or Bitwig Studio full) + Spectral Suite

Seems like an accidental early release. A web search yields a couple of retailers (which I've never heard of before) selling the same product with the following description:aMUSEd wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 9:25 pmWeird - the only Spectral Suites I know of are both open source/free, and one is also Mac onlyWasteLand wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 6:59 pm a bit of strange, or perhaps not strange, sale or bundle sale: Bitwig Studio Upgrade (or Bitwig Studio full) + Spectral Suite

Transient Split divides percussive transients and tonal sounds. Only stuttering the drum hits might be nice. Or separating instruments from percussion means mixing the way you want to.
Freq Split distributes a sound across four channels, like a set of filter banks. With random delay times and panning on each channel, we've got a spectral delay. Or use Bitwig's modulators to shuffle through a different effect on each channel for a new kind of phaser.
Loud Split separates the quiet, mid, and loud elements within a sound. Cranking up the softest parts of a sound will instantly transform it. Or let a thin section of the sound ring out without breaking the mix.
Harmonic Split spreads harmonics into two groups, and collects non-harmonics into a third channel. We could isolate the fundamental frequency and give everything else some distance.

there is a plugin collection called Spectral Suite, for windows, and it is free (or donationware)...aMUSEd wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 9:25 pmWeird - the only Spectral Suites I know of are both open source/free, and one is also Mac onlyWasteLand wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 6:59 pm a bit of strange, or perhaps not strange, sale or bundle sale: Bitwig Studio Upgrade (or Bitwig Studio full) + Spectral Suite

and indeed, the one that is only Mac, Soundmagic Spectral, which i hope will come for Windows too, and will make a donation...
this sounds like only splitters, sounds almost like MeldaProduction, but less featured....cthonophonic wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 9:54 pm This edition of Bitwig Studio is bundled with 4 Spectral sound devices:

Not keen on purchasable addons that only work inside Bitwig. Reason does this with REs, but at least you can use them inside the Reason plugin version. It makes me concerned that the update plan I have until 2024 may not now include interesting new additions. Would the Grid have been a paid addon?
Glad the Spectral Suite itself doesn’t appeal to me.

Yes, specifically, I think that Melda's free MRatioMB can do much of this (except for the harmonic split on evens/odds). Duplicate it for n tracks, and mute all except 1 band per track. There is a nice "workflow feature" in that you can add arbitrary Bitwig devices to the "effect loops"--or maybe even VSTs? I'm new to bitwig.WasteLand wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 8:11 amthis sounds like only splitters, sounds almost like MeldaProduction, but less featured....

It doesn't seem particularly high value to me, but I guess Bitwig is testing the waters.

Maybe we should ask Vojtech from Melda. He will probably implement the missing functionality in no time.jneudorf wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:07 pmYes, specifically, I think that Melda's free MRatioMB can do much of this (except for the harmonic split on evens/odds). It could easily be a paid MSoundFactoryLE add-on like the new drum machine (lol). The easiest approach would be for each band to go to its own auxiliary channel, with the main output left as-is. But I wouldn't want to pay $80 ($40 during madness sale) for it.ralfrobert wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:09 pmMaybe we should ask Vojtech from Melda. By the way, the Melda Dream Machines were included in the full package at no extra cost. And so was the Steinway. He keeps his promises.jneudorf wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:16 pmIt could easily be a paid MSoundFactoryLE add-on like the new drum machine (lol).
