Yo, I'd scoop up a 4 joystick controller in a heartbeatHoward wrote: Tue Oct 04, 2022 8:02 amWe really should offer a 4 joystick controller... hang the expense!pdxindy wrote: Mon Oct 03, 2022 2:09 amIn the meantime, I have the Erae Touch to make 4 big X/Y (+Z) pads...Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Mon Oct 03, 2022 1:04 am U-he should release a 4-Joystick XY hardware controller.![]()

2D control via any surface is like bending notes using a ribbon controller instead of a sprung bender. BTW the best pitch bender ever made (imho) is the one in the Nonlinear Labs C15.

Obviously I think a 4-joystick controller... but nobody actually makes them, as far as I can tell. I guess people think it would be prohibitively expensive. Personally, I'd pay €300 for a good one.MitchK1989 wrote: Tue Oct 04, 2022 5:43 pmwhat do you recommend on the market today as the best controller for zebra et al?Howard wrote: Fri Sep 30, 2022 6:08 am Compared with high quality joysticks, touch pads are quite poor performance controllers.IMHO!
The joysticks would need to have the EMS Synthi / VCS3 feel: Very different from plastic, sprung gamer joysticks, longer and with much more resistance than the Studiologics or Korg Kronos ones.

Thinking of trying it as an Arduino project if I can find decent joysticks to start with
Shouldn’t be that expensive

i saw some promising as in CHEAP/FREE hacks using game controllers on youTube… apparently a PS3 controller can send pressure too… maybe because of the PS3 vibroshock feature?— in the meantime, until U-He or BitWig decide to release a proper full on signature MPE controller I've been making do dedicating 8 knobs to Hive and Zebra
