okay guys they respond quick
got a message from them
they will introduce another upgrade plan
so in the future you can choose between to upgrade price -plans
the bigger ones = will have all addons included
the little ones = just daw workstation features but without future addons
no prices mentioned but it makes sense
look like Reason addon shop to me

I hope you're wrong. For anyone that is planning to write to their support about this, I think this "breaking their promises" point is very important, so please include that statement, or something similar.musikarldererste wrote: Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:51 am i will guarantee you , that they will not respond to it , like Reason after breaking their promises

But we need to know their full plan with this change. If I buy these addons now, will I get the equivalent discount from the larger upgrade plan? Or will I end up paying more? Or less even (which would be an incentive to buy these now)?

If cashflow is a problem, why not increase the regular sub by $10, or reduce the twice annual 25% price drop to 20%?

Yes, but it's not that straightforward. Where else can you get all that Bitwig has to offer? Isn't that the reason we're all on the Bitwig train anyway?jkez wrote: Wed Oct 05, 2022 12:02 pmHell no. Ok, now we was lied twice.
The first time it was when Bitwig just appeared, they said this will be DAW with modular structure (they still say it is, but no), and users would be able to make and edit all included built-in devices. This is what that device editor was look like. These pictures are taken from news about new coming Bitwig DAW v.1 And yes this is exactly what news was talking about, you can see there structure of Polysynth. Now all these news are removed from internet, I think I know why. Many people have bought software then believing to get such powerfull instrument. But Bitwig gave us not this Max or Reactor like editor, they gave us Grid. With Grid user cant do what they promised he will be able to do. What is modular structure now? I still believe Device Editor work perfect, but they don't want that user and community could be able to make devices themself.
Bitwig now use it to build strange devices for upgrade plan and paid addons to double earnings.
They literally give you products of the Instrument but not the Instrumet. And this while you pay every year.
And now there is the second time you lie, that all updates and features will be included in update plan.

as splitters, thus the MB versions, or via MXXX, you have transient/tonal seperation, band separation (), and amplitude seperation.shaboogen wrote: Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:03 am
I have MCompleteBundle. Melda does a lot of great things, but this type of spectral shaping is not an area they're playing in currently. Here's the list of spectral effects they have, this type of stuff isn't covered.
you are covered in many ways with Melda. the MSpectralDelay, or MCharacter; which can be compared to Harmonic Split.
Freq split works different, indeed, but we have also SpecOps EDIT: or Plogue Bidule...
it are spliters, Melda is great in that.
i do not say it aren't great devices, but with other stuff you can achieve it also, if you have it, of course (i also have MCompleteBundle, and Ableton Live 11 Suite, with a lot of M4L devices, with a lot of spectral devices... and other plugins).
the only thing that is really great is the integration, but not the price....
Spectral Suite is the very first add-on for Bitwig Studio, and it's available now with an introductory price of 79 USD/EUR.
this means in a way a Suite version....
you can buy an upgrade plan + spectral suite, via resellers.
a differentation, that wasn't announced.

Same here. Probably move back to Ableton of check out Studio One or logic.
RichN wrote: Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:25 am Early adopter here. I'm still on version 4.1.6. This was the first time I let my update plan lapse. I was waiting for some more new devices before renewing (and still hoping for a Studio One or Logic like drum editor/sequencer, although that's not the direction they seem to be going). Well, these new devices they now introduced seem cool, and they would probably have given me an incentive to renew. But now I'm actually thinking of switching DAW's. From now on, they could easily qualify the best new stuff as 'add ons', and charge extra for them. Bitwig lost a lot of goodwill with this move.
