Definitely something I'd love them to look into fixing - Maybe writing a cache/database library file so it doesn't have to scan each time.rasmusklump wrote: Thu Sep 29, 2022 8:03 am The only thing that REALLY bothers me about Falcon and the Workstation is that they need to mount all the libraries at each start, and I have nearly 100 of them...
UVI Falcon - v4 = 2026 released - rumors, ads, praise, kindergarden, auto-sampling and off-topic inside!

I agree. Falcon's 'automount' is a pain whenever a library is added.rasmusklump wrote: Thu Sep 29, 2022 8:03 am The only thing that REALLY bothers me about Falcon and the Workstation is that they need to mount all the libraries at each start, and I have nearly 100 of them...
There is a tip, but it's not very appealing.

Technically, there is no reason for scanning the folder on startup every time.
Mac OS's file system AFP offers a mechanism where applications can subscribe to be notified of any change to a specific folder. Unless your app receives a notification, there is no need to rescan.
It's one of the mechanisms which speed up Time Machine and Spotlight.
I must assume that NTFS offers something similar.

using 2.0.4 ? (you can check the version in the prefs panel)
works fine with uvi.net ?
We had some issue with Portal 2.0.3 that resulted in some users IP being backlisted on our server....
Mac or PC ?

So I had some error with portal updating itself, so I uninstalled and downloaded from uvi.net the latest version of UVI Portal.otristan wrote: Thu Oct 06, 2022 11:30 am using 2.0.4 ? (you can check the version in the prefs panel)

Then, I tried using the newly installed UVI Portal, and the download error occurred.
