Can length of loop to save as audio or adding new sounds/midi to the end of that length change how some prior sounds sound?
IDK what layering is exactly but what I did in my Mulab project may be layering. I placed another sounds midi over another sounds bass sound, but staggered kind of.
First recording to wav and mp3 sounded perfect and as i heard it.
Second recording of a bit longer mix even in mulab did not sound the same, nor did the wav and mp3.
Only at the layered parts.
I abandoned my latest mix because it sounds rubbish not as filled sounds at the layererd parts.
Only change was adding aout 20 seconds longer new unique parts to the mix.
The project has first song then a gap then second song, thats all thats in the project.
I guess its a plaback and record problem in mulab rather than a rendering problem when saving to wav/mp3 then. i use audacity to make an mp3 from the wav.
I have complete mulab folder saved at each point including the project saves. I did not change any of Mulab's settings between editing the 2 mixes. I just add to the end of my previous mixes.

It seems from my experiences Mulab creates a slightly different .WAV file of my project looped region every time.
Slight differences, interference like sounds, layered parts not the same etc - I got lucky with one wav i created it was great but since not so much.
Note: I do not know if Mulab refines the wav after it says it is finished exporting. It varys but sometimes i close Mulab imediately after it finishes, other times i leave for a little time or even a lot of time. I have no idea if Mulab is doing any finishing off in the background after it officially states it has finished. With no idea if this is even relevant.
I am using the portable Mulab - mulab-app-9-0-37-win64
