I'm liking KSHMR Chain from Excite Audio pretty well. Though it falls short of Metaplugin/PatchWork in some areas. It's a bit more affordable as well.

Patchwork, if you need more than just a plugin wrapper
its a multi FX chainer, and continually improved
a 64-slot rack, to quickly load templates
like a MUX, but in rows and columns
most important - very stable
yes I am a fan.
$79 now.

BlueCat's patchwork works fine and is more than a simple wrapper but its cost (circa the price of a MuLab licence...) was too much for me. So, waiting for a VST3 native support by MuLab, I choosed the "free" solution and it also works fine for me. You just have to download the zip package here : https://www.xlutop.com/buzz/zip/vst3shell.zip
Then, you place your unzipped files in your VST2 plugins folder. In MuLab you add the VSTi3shell.x64.dll as a new VST2 plugin instrument, VST3shell.x64.dll as a new VST2 plugin effect. Following your needs, you launch the Plugin or FX file. It automatically shows you the list of your available VST3 (for PC users, that means all 64bits plugins you have in the following folder : C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3).
Then you click the one you want work with.
Enjoy!
The only "problem" by using a VST3 wrapper (paid or free) is that this way MuLab takes a little bit more CPU compared to other DAWs taking charge natively VST3 plugins...
Hope that Jo will add the VST3 support soon.

Thank you Gruberman for sharing this free app. I downloaded it and tried it. It's a vst host/vst3 wrapper with a browser and a modular approach.
Easy to use, it works fine. So, I highly recommend it for all people looking for a free solution about VST3 plugins playable with MuLab :tu:

I just obtained MuLab 10 (64-bit) and it now supports VST3 (and 64-bit VST I think too) but not 32-bit VST. In the past, before I bought MuLab, I used a lot of 32-bit VST's. So I have a lot of VST's that I can't use yet. I started looking for modern replacements recently.

Yep, I just confirmed this in MuLab 10 (64-bit).

M10 is available in 32bit version.
You need MuLab 32bit to run 32bit plugins.

I wonder if Jbridging a 32bit MuLab plugin, into 64bit Mulab host,
would be a better solution then Jbridging each VST individually.

This world of semi-modular has got me thinking like a Lego Master.

Could well do. Great idea.

Will Mulab ever be available as CLAP plugin? More and more hosts support it, and it seems to be the best bet to get out of the restrictive Steinberg license chaos…
