The GUI is a little bit too big for my screen (17") .
where can I change that ?

If you are using Windows right click in the Remote menu bar and you will see Full Screen. I don't have a Mac availble right, so I don't how to open the VNC Remote option by memory, but the same setting is there. If you don't find it let me and I'll check it out on a Mac at Muse.
