So, I downloaded the demo, I’m fluent in PT, Logic, Live, Reaper, Cubendo et all, but this thing… makes no sense…

It opens instantly, pretty crazy!
I always laughed it off as a toy, and ironically cannot work out how to use, lol!
In my mind, FL Studio is the DAW I am most likely to never use.
They hired Angus from FXpansion a little while ago, so it's very possible that FL gets some insane new features. Personally I hope he's there to create new VST plug ins that we can use in any DAW.

I remember Reason going through this type of problem after they released RE, and started leaving out all the new synthesizers from the upgrades and started selling them separately. Which caused a lot of people to wait until a few upgrades went by to make the purchased price worth the value. Because later they started added all those RE's to new upgrades to beef up their core product.

The same can be said for NI, if you skip an upgrade or two, the value of getting the upper tier hand-me-downs becomes more affordable and attainable.

So in a few years will we see these spectral suite devices added to their core product to entice more customers?

It took 10 pages for the obvious solution to come up: you should all move to REAPER. :hihi:
I can't! It effects my longevity.

I'm waiting for BWS to communicate and see...
First, they introduced the "Grid" as a regular upgrade. Now they introduced the "Greed" as a specialized add-on. Go figure! :hihi:

No. But they need sincere feedback, and they are old enough to handle the situation. The Business world has no mercy. I've been in business for more that 40 years.

I'm in a continuous correction course and you learn to take punches even under the belt IF you want to stay in the game.

Just saw this posted on Reddit, someone had complained to Plugin Boutique where they'd bought their copy/upgrade plan and got this response*...

I'd forgotten resellers would also be getting some of the flak from customers and passing on the love to Bitwig.

Question is whether Bitwig just Kwasi Kwarteng it further down the drain or admit they made a big mistake and quietly shuffle it into the free updates. I don't think some discount voucher shit will play well if they try that route.

* Pinch of salt on this quote as there's no proof it actually came from someone at PB

Are you safe?

Interesting, if this did come from PB, they’re backed into a corner.

Even the retailers are pissed off.

Bitwig company not only has to deal with its own failure. BW could lose that natural enthusiasm in developing a pretty unique DAW because of the shitstorm. Lose-Lose situation imo. :(

Nope i like bitwig, i own 4 copies at the moment i dont want them to fail after investing hundreds of pounds into them.

What i do expect is that they honour the contract we have and to not try to make me pay for something i've already paid for.

I really dont get why people dont seem to understand what this is really about.
Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.

Oh? Has Reaper gone from linear to fully clip based "out of the box"? So now we have Ableton Live, Bitwig and Reaper? Complete with matrix, building blocks, per instrument, clip modulation and note expression (to name a few)? All of that of course without heavy moderation and jumping through hoops?

Tought so...

Nice joke by the way. That will cheer up the people here a little bit... :)

No they don't. As long as people are buying, they are obviously cool with it.

The small group of never happy customers is hardly an example of what the majority of people want, or are cool with.

It's funny. Instead of voting with their wallet, many seem to resport to whine and complain. It's as if I bought a Porsche, and then I complain all day long about how bad the car is, and how evil the company is. While standing on an orange crate downtown, preaching people my way.
