Still no announcement? What about the people that bought it? I am not complaining, just seems like such a weird way to do things.

i wouldnt have expect that, but just a clearance of the future path. like "hey we will release extra packages outside the update plan" or "we have to raise the update plan due to..the shizzles goin on in our sphere, ya know?".
anyway generous reaction.

I think it's the right choice of making this 4.4, but I'm still somewhat wary. My biggest concern with this was their total lack of communication, and while the decision to make these devices part of the upgrade plan should be lauded, it still feels like they will not change the way their communicating with the community in any way whatsoever.

I feel cheated! It has nothing in it that I didn't have in 4.3.10 with Spectral devices. That's it I'm off to learn Reaper.

Wasn't expecting it, but good on them, that's certainly the best way to clean up the mess. I'll probably apply my refund to extend my upgrade plan.

They basically included it in 4.4 taking some of your "update period". Its the same thing, now you will pay with your update plan for only these devices, and they can delay 4.5 for the next 4-5 months...oh god. I'm leaving.

Its even worse if you've been waiting for normal 4.4 update with core features, you at least could skip Spectral Suite, now you have to wait another several months for 4.5 and for some people it will mean to renew update plan...what a trick. If that was 4.3.11 that would be another story.
P.S. I will admit that i wrong if they release 4.5 in October.

This is KvR, people don't just stop arguing...xbitz wrote: Tue Oct 11, 2022 11:55 am still better than endless arguing and closing the business at the end
But at least we're back to the same old "waaaah, the update had different features than the ones I wanted" which, as a developer, I have been hearing for the past 30 years.
