You can see what happens when people passionately defend what is right and fair.

Hats off to Bitwig for putting things right and honouring existing upgrade plans. The statement that all devices will be included in upgrade plans going forward went even further than I thought they might.

So when they put the price up for the yearly plan (to keep up with inflation), I'm looking forward to the thread demanding that they separate specialized tools that many people might not want, from the core application, so as to bring the price back down.

Yes and they could have done something like this if they'd only approached it the right way - which would have involved honouring active upgrade plans till they expire, then on renewal having two options - a 'core only' option that was cheaper than the current upgrade plan and an 'all devices" option that was more expensive than the current plan. Perhaps with the option to buy specific devices individually if you are on core only. I don't think people would have had a problem with that, as long as it was communicated well.

Anyway what's done is done and they have made good so all is well.

Yes, I think they worded this poorly also... they seem to have closed the door on add ins, which I actually think is a shame in case they wanted to do partnerships etc.

Yes, but I believe they leave the door open for selling additional sound packs and the like in the future. I'm ok with that.

Yes some people may have gone a bit over the top but that came from both sides.

The bottom line is you and all the other fanbois owe those who complained a debt of gratitude because without them Bitwig would not have changed course and rectified their mistake.

So show some "manners and respectful behavior" to those who fought to make Bitwig do the right thing and say thank you.

And you're still showing disrespect.
