Does controller API allow to have two exactly the same controllers?

Hi all,

Is it possible to create a script that supports two exactly the same controllers?
I'd like to have 2x Akai APC and was wondering if there's some limitation on uniqueness of controller ID making this impossible to implement.

There is no limitation in the API to prevent this. So, yes this works.

BUT there are controllers who do not support this, e.g. NI Komplete Kontrol controllers and for example show up with identical port names.
