Yeah same here. On my Mac I have to go in and uncheck every single plugin in the list here every time I run the installer. Thank god it shows the 'Upgrade' label on the ones I do own so I dont have to search too long to find the ones I want to actually install hah. I've even unchecked stuff and had it still install plugins I had since removed anyways thanks to the installer receipts left over on MacOS.kidslow wrote: Tue Aug 30, 2022 5:46 pm Yes, Thank You for the free plugin.
The installer could be better. On my Mac it installs the VSTs even if the VST box is NOT checked. That is a bug! Also seems to remember any plugins that were ever installed, whether or not they were subsequently uninstalled, and appears to key off of the .bom files that turned up deep in the innards when I searched to see what was left after running uninstaller. When I removed them, the installer reset "Upgrade" vs "Install" back to defaults. The uninstaller should really uninstall those bom files too.

tbh I am not quite sure what you mean with that... with "240" I obviously referred to the EMT 240 as opposed to the EMT 140. The former used gold-foil coated steel on the much smaller plate (to increase weight and density if I am not mistaken) , while the latter used a simple steel plate instead.BlackRooster wrote: Thu Sep 01, 2022 1:25 pmHey Jens, we don't offer a plug-in called "240" -- we have implemented a gold-plate to the RO-140 though, which is not a foil but an actual plate.jens wrote: Tue Aug 30, 2022 4:00 pm Very generous! I am confused though: wasn't the 240 the one with the gold(-foil)? (to be able to make it more compact)
As far as I am aware of it, there was never a real plate that used more gold than a very thin layer (i.e. the foil), for obvious reasons:
- cost
- weight
How would a plate of massive gold sound? Would the transducer be able to move it at all to a significant amount? Or would much bigger (i.e. huge) transducers be required?
Do you mean to say that you calculated/implemented such a hypothetical physical model of a massive gold plate with the (much bigger as compared to the 240) dimensions of the EMT 140?

That's exactly what we did. We formed a hypothetical plate of dimensions and thickness, that would make sense acoustically. In addition we adjusted the transducers accordingly. So what you hear, would be a large-dimension gold plate. Very warm and mellow, with a very characteristic sustain.
