If you could have only one synth, what would you choose?

That should be pretty obvious...Teksonik wrote: Thu Oct 13, 2022 1:18 pm Would probably be more correct to say "Here is a demo I did of some of the Arp patches (created by other people)" just for clarity.

Maybe Dune 3 does have VA capabilities, but the presets that Tony kindly posted are too digital sounding for my personal tastes and are much how I remember them. Sort of an "Ana-Dig" hybrid sound with FX applied. Its purely subjective I know, and the synth may well be capable of much better analogue type sound when starting form a vanila patch.Teksonik wrote: Thu Oct 13, 2022 1:18 pm
Dellboy seems not to remember if DUNE 3 has VA capabilities

True. I love Dune 3 as well, but it’s not really got anything about its oscillator section that’s particularly “analog” sounding. Of course, you could make a wavetable that imitates analog oscillators and modulate pitch to mimic drift, but that seems the long way round to achieve an analog sound when there are great analog emulations, including Synapse’s The Legend.chk071 wrote: Thu Oct 13, 2022 1:01 pm "Can do" is relative.Of course, every VA can do analogue sounds, naturally. The question is, in which quality, and if that quality meets your demands.
No, not implicating anything here.
It’s also why I don’t play these dumb games. Who here only has one synth?

Hive.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better?

If someone is happy to build me a studio and pay for it then I'll take an Emerson Moog Modular System please.
Otherwise probably Falcon.
