Hi all. I used to use Tracktion a few years back, then got distracted, and changed laptop. Now I've just installed Waveform 12 on my new Asus Windows 11 machine and am trying to get up and running again, but of course I've forgotten everything and will need to watch all the guide videos etc.
First things first, when I click 'Scan for plugins' I get a flashing button saying 'Scanning for plugins' but nothing ever appears in the pane. Likewise, when I click 'Download a demo song', I select some demos, the little progress indicator top right tells me they're downloaded, but nothing ever appears in my download folder or in the Active Project list.
Any ideas what's going on here? Thanks!
Getting setup again

There appears to be a problem downloading the demo songs. There was a post on it a couple of weeks back that I answered (eventually). I tried downloading them and got one or two, but not all of them. The problem needs reporting to the devs.

Do you... have any plugins installed? The plugin scanner is for VST/AU plugins. It won't show any of Waveform's built-in or native plugins. Exceptions are their plugins that they sell as VSTs that can be used in other DAWs, like Collective and the DAW Essentials collection.Neilz wrote: Thu Oct 13, 2022 9:52 am First things first, when I click 'Scan for plugins' I get a flashing button saying 'Scanning for plugins' but nothing ever appears in the pane.
You don't seem to have mentioned if you're running the PRO version or the Free version and that might seem like a small distinction but if you have installed Waveform 12 Free and no other 3rd-party plugins, the number of plugins you should expect to see after a scan is (almost certainly) zero.
Surely there must be consensus by now...
