Hi,
That's strange to read this kind of war regarding audio tools on iOS.
My opinion is that iOS audio world will grow up more and more... it cannot be different.
Look at how it is easy to have your iPad fully integrated into your daw as an audio interface in OS X. It brings us flexibility and a lot of great synth like the one coming today ´ PPG infinite ´.
If we look into the past, Native Instruments, Arturia ... and more ... that are now huge companies, started with Virtual Synth, they were newcomers in Audio in their time. You can be sure that new developers companies focused on iOS right now, trying to have a name, will be huge audio companies tomorrow.
That's how it works, there is a new market, the major audio companies don't use all the available space and possibilities... someone else will do it at the end ... newcomers.
And it is good for all of us.
... so I don't care about an iOS Serum, I already have it into OS X, I want something else into my iOS.
It's just a new instruments with so many possibilities, for a low price if we compare with hardware. It's a chameleon in my studio.

Could you write down which software / hardware / cables setup you got in mind?ReaseT wrote: Look at how it is easy to have your iPad fully integrated into your daw as an audio interface in OS X.

P.S.: I agree about the future. If the big companies don't do it, smaller ones will - as long as they find a way to also make enough profit, which is likely.
Apple's GarageBand is already very cool - and the Smart Instruments a feature you'll not find on the mac. Quite good to quickly throw out some instruents tracks to sing along to.

You just need the lightning cable. It use the audio interface connected to your Mac.

But it works for any DAW.
I use that with 2 iPads as an aggregate device, it works really well and it avoid all the issues with 3rd party softwares, even if now Studiomux is amazing.
iOS11 will allow the same for midi, the iPad will be an Audio/midi device fully integrated into OS X, no more midi over Bluetooth needed, it's a good thing for the overall stability.

Audio over USB in iOS devices - well that looks good.
But I could only live and create with the MIDI track on my Mac, triggering the iOS Synth and then get the Audio back to the Mac.
But it seems this is gonna happen with iOS11. If I get the article right.

It's already ok, but you need to use midi over Bluetooth, or an additional software like MusicIO.http://musicioapp.com (http://musicioapp.com)

and now that we have the crossplatform app development framework, we will easily release SynthMaster 3 iOS after it is released for Windows/MacOS next year.

One could make music with just a spoon (and THAT I already saw). But again, there is the little adjective "high-quality". Of course, that's highly subjective. What's high quality for you may be trash to meCinebient wrote: There is enough iOS made high quality music around the world. It´s not about the tools, it´s about the user and likings of listeners.

Try this but since you don’t need serum for iOS so rest of us must not have it then I guess you will not like it
