I agree, but you might recommend something like this that I saw when looking up Icarus 2 that a few people mentioned. Just a shame it seems to only have an old school mod matrix and not something more modern. I think it sounds pretty great overall from what I hear.

This is super powerful synthesis from a sample.

Yeah... Icarus is my favorite tool for resynthesis! Very flexible and with a bit of care can get outstanding results

Normally I would think you were thinking of Komplete Control and got it mixed up with Kontakt but your idiotic statement about Falcon and Kontakt not being VI's makes me think trolling or drunk as a skunk!
ah, my bad on Falcon, was thinking of something else. But while Kontakt can host VIs, it is not itself a VI. But enjoy your giggles. During recess, I take it.
The funny part is how completely utterly arrogantly you're wrong. Kontakt is a sampler, it hosts samples, and a script with a GUI usually that tells Kontakt what to do with those samples, like whyterabbyt mentioned in detail. Kontakt like any sampler needs samples to play, samples are not "instruments".
It's important to know what you're talking about before you engage in conversation, it takes knowing nothing at all about Kontakt to think that it's a host for instruments, I mean absolutely nothing besides NI's advertising blurbs. "A New Kontakt Instrument Blah Blah.." means nothing really, you create "instruments" in Kontakt, and Kontakt itself is the instrument, they just want to distinguish out their solo violin library etc. and that's what it really is, "A New Kontakt Library". You even said it yourself, the Kontakt Factory Library. :dog:

Partially it's because naming nomenclature for these things aren't 100% solidified, but reality is and always will be, that Kontakt is a sampler, samplers are instruments, and they host samples, end of story. That advanced samplers like Kontakt can mimic synths doesn't mean the library of samples and script to tell Kontakt what to do is a VI and Kontakt is not, that's patently idiotic, it's not a host for instrument's it's a host for libraries of samples that make it mimic instruments like all samplers have done since they were invented.

Not actually a factory, not actually a place that stores or lends books.

Just in case someone insists it is.

Also, Kontakt can’t actually make contact with aliens…or can it?!? :-o

You are quite correct! Oh, crap... I'm late for my job at the sample mines...
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

in leigh today, i noticed a "bookcycle" shop. pay what you want for any 3 books per day 8)
also offering itself as a warm space, so double points!!!
proceeds go towards libraries in third world countries.

didn't have time before my bus for a browse, but noticed some decent looking science books on a table in the window so will look at nipping in next time :)

Why not? It has and does everything a synth has and does (and a ot more if/when one wants to dig deeper).

Doh...

Ok, then recommend me a Kontakt library which is similar to what Sylenth1 does then.

Very interesting choice. I’m going to have to revisit it . I own it and wasn’t impressed enough to dig into it. I’ve made this error in judgement before. You have me wondering what I am missing.
well maybe im a tad bit overhyped by it. i dont know ^^. i really like the complete new approach in programming a synth patch. the whole interface reminded me more of skilltrees in games than for example the really annoying and boring ui of dexed. it somehow fits to my thinking for making fm/pm.

Start with Fluidshell's Big Daddy with Moog Grandmother waveforms, free from pianobook. Then anything from Hideaway Studios who has such good taste, perhaps Orbitone 1/2 or Blue zone if you don't mind browsing. If you have 100GB free on your hard drive then a monster from Muze, like Aquamarine (Aqua Lite is free somewhere). And then go out of the box with a Sounddust creation like Orgone 2.
