Using instruments within MXXX within MSoundFactory

Hello everyone,

How do I route MIDI to an instrument inside MXXX inside MSoundFactory? Any instrument I put in the signal path seems to just mute anything going into it, and I haven't been able to work out how to do anything else. Specifically I'm trying to use the pattern features in MDrummer.

Hi, you cannot route MIDI inside MSF I'm afraid. MSF & MXXX only have the global MIDI input, which they distribute to all modules.

Hi Vojtech, thanks for responding. So just to be clear, there's no way to route MIDI into MXXX inside MSoundFactory?

If you want to route the input MIDI MSF is getting into the submodule, then yes - right click on it and enable MIDI input (disabled by default, so that modules don't get confused). But if a module INSIDE MSF generates some MIDI, it is ignored.
