To get the loops for free, you can't use the express checkout.

Instead, if you got to the cart page and saw the place to put in the discount code, the problem is most likely Shop Pay. It bypasses the payment form (and sometimes the discount code) and completes the order. I was able to get it for free, but I had to cancel out the Shop Pay pop-up.

This is a common issue (discount code not working properly) with Shopify hosted eStores that use Shop Pay or Express checkout.

BTW, the Shop Pay option only comes up if your email or mobile number has been used for Shop Pay in the past.

Indeed. After entering the code, the amount shown was 0 and there was no payment info asked at all. I always post such deals after trying them myself first.

The reverb is good, classic TC reverb algorithms, but I don't know how it compares to VSS3 and VSS4 because I didn't have the chance to try them; they're supposed to be on a superior league though, given the price difference.
Yes the controller is possibly kind of lame, but I'm a sucker for controllers and for 29$ I would have got it.

How does the reverb compare with the VSS3 and VSS4? I had the Powercore Classicverb and it was quite a bit lower in quality than the VSS3.

Also, I'm wondering how much of a benefit the hardware box is. It would be cool if it had faders but buttons seem like a downgrade compared to just using the mouse wheel.

I went for the same deal, and yeah the F29 window was just 48 hrs. But no doubt there will be other chances in the not too distant future to get Kirchhoff for a reasonable price.
