Carla plugin windows and carlas own windows appear behind Carla in Ubuntu 22.10

Hi has anyone had the problem when running Carla in Tracktion Waveform 12 Pro that Carlas own windows will open up behind Carla as will any plugin that you have running in it?

I've tried this with Carla on Reaper and not had any such issues or carla running independently as a host but now have problems with it on Tracktion Waveform 12 which is a shame.

Ive included a screenshot. Not sure why Carla is doing this but it's making working with vsts difficult as vst windows (especially bridged windows vsts) cannot be right clicked to "stay on top"

Not had this problem before so little confused. Did search on youtube and it seems someone else in a comments thread has had this problem with Waveform as well but no solution was listed.

Any help be really appreciated. Not sure if this 22.10 related but seeing as someone else has posted this issue before and it wasn't a recent post on youtube I'm assuming it isn't.

Did you try to disable sandbox for Carla?
And why do you need Carla here?

I don't run Carla with a sandbox and I have plugin sandboxing disabled by defeat and I have the option to display plugins at the front enabled within carla.

I don't understand your reference to why I need Carla sorry, confused on that. I need it for plugin hosting.

Why not to host it natively in Waveform? For Wine plugins - the yabridge is more preferable.

Perhaps it's Gnome issue. Works for me W12, Carla 2.5.2 openSUSE TW Plasma 5.26.1

It could be anything. Yes, maybe I should try Yabridge thanks. Is Yabridge better in terms of CPU usage for wine plugins? More efficient DSP wise?

It shouldn't be any differ in CPU usage and DSP efficiency, all is computed by Wine. I found Yabridge more stable and feature-rich, working Drag-and-Drop for example.
