How’s Shaperbox’s granular, reverb and delay algorithms compared to Infiltrator2’s?

They each have their strengths. On the whole, Infiltrator has "more"... more effects, more envelopes, more options.
ShaperBox's strength is (relative) ease of use. The interface is less busy and has good consistency between modules. Curve editing is very intuitive.
They each have some things the other doesn't, though:
- Infiltrator has the effects sequencer in addition to all the curve-based modulations, which opens up a lot of options.
- ShaperBox is multi-band; Infiltrator isn't (although it has a multi-band compressor as one of the options).
- You can have multiple instances of the same effect in Infiltrator.
- NoiseShaper is a unique and useful processor. Infiltrator doesn't have anything like it, although Devious Machines also makes a plugin called Texture which is like NoiseShaper squared... of course that costs quite a bit more.
- Infiltrator offers MIDI output from its curves and modulators, for controlling other plugins. ShaperBox doesn't, although Cableguys also make MIDIShaper... again, of course that adds to the cost.
I know it's cliche to say "try them yourself and decide", but, well, probably you should - they have a lot of similarities, but a lot of differences too, and you could easily just find you get along with one of them better than the other. While you're at it, you should probably at least take a peek as DS Audio's "Tantra 2", which isn't as flexible or as attractive as either of them, but has some charms of its own... and being from Plugin Alliance, you probably won't have to wait too long to get it for about $30.

I only have a driveshaper license (freebie from a year or two back) but had a look out of curiosity and could get the full shaperbox 3 for $79 which seems a deal (maybe?)AxxeumUK wrote: Mon Oct 24, 2022 5:24 pm Cableguys Shaperbox 3 upgrade from Shaperbox 2 only €29/$29

Yes - but I would advise everyone not to update for a minimum of 6 months as a lot of Plugins will not run

What a timing. DS Tantra 2 can be had for only $19.99 for the next 48 hours with code TANTRA-1999.Ceej wrote: Tue Oct 25, 2022 6:11 amThey each have their strengths. On the whole, Infiltrator has "more"... more effects, more envelopes, more options.

ShaperBox virtually never goes on sale for more than 10% off, though, where Infiltrator occasionally has a sale price cheaper than ShaperBox. And for what it's worth, Infiltrator 2 was a free upgrade; ShaperBox 3 wasn't.

Claro sale is tempting (even though I already spent $30 this month to get Kirchoff next month), but I already have Neutron 3 Advanced for detecting/visualizing masking and resonances... is Claro much better at these than Neutron Advanced (3 or 4, since I might upgrade)? Its autogain is supposed to be very good. I haven't really been satisfied with the masking and resonance detection/visualization in Neutron....
Obviously I should demo before buying, but how long does the sale last?
